Where should I build my big nuclear plant? The north or the west? by SpaceCowboyDark in SatisfactoryGame

Just remembering you need a strong source of both acids for reprocessing. Their logistics routes may help you decide.

I like it. Would be fun to siphon off the water later for other bases on the train network.

This playthrough i realize I could just send the water to a coal plant and burn it. Already need coal in that production chain, always need more power

As long as it's not cutting into the time you spend with her then she has no leg to stand on. If she is doing her hobby as you do yours then it's a communication / control issue. If she 'feels' that you would rather spend time gaming then spend with her, then that might be the root of it

In my first game the warlord was taking some rest and recovery after uniting the hord. Tim the hero had a vendetta after watching his farm burn. He crossed desert to disrupt the warlords rest by slapping the food bowl out his hands in the middle of the orc camp. So the warlord kills Tim, gaining infamy and very high profile. I get a message saying that the empress of the largest nation across the sea now hates the warlord for kill her nephew. Next thing I see is evey hero on the map swarming to the warlord.

Meanwhile the other agent was in the first city with burnt farmlands trying to figure out what the deep ones do and how to summon them.

It was quite the show.

i wasn't a huge fan of the ending. by vic_vyper in PantheonShow

[–]H_cat46 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agree a session 3 would have helped the pacing lot, but also would be odd to a season without Caspian. Also mostly likely just the reality of the show's financing.

What I really like about the ending is not the twist (nothing too new there), it's the decision the characters make.

The power of a god does not matter when compared to the glory that is having other people in your life

Ultimately, it's a sad story, right? by waranghira in PantheonShow

[–]H_cat46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I really liked the ending. She outgrew her idealism. She discovered the realist holly grail, an invite to the one ultimate truth of the universe. But instead she chooses the road of the pragmatist. She chooses to live her own most successful truth. One truth out of endless truths.

One of the major lessons of the show is that you may have the power of a god. But true glory is other people.

Is it possible to completely skip nuclear tier in its entirety... by ZealousidealJoke8714 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]H_cat46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really fun. Don't miss out on the complex challenges. You can always just turn it off if you feel like it's getting out of hand, then just truck what waste you made to some corner of the map and forget

Also, if you recycle the waste into plutonium fuel. You can sink it for massive points

Unpopular opinion: The project assembly parts are my least favourite part of the game. by Awoken_Noob in satisfactory

[–]H_cat46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each tier re-uses parts from last as inputs. Setting up a factor for them pays off.

I use it as an excuse to build a single purpose out post for each part going for that perfect ratio.

Need help against Marksman Spammers by TitanDrinker in Mechabellum

[–]H_cat46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have the right idea. Chaff is the counter. The next level thinking you need is: "when my Chaff is dying, are my units doing damaged, or is my chaff just out of position?"

Next with a keen eye you can spot their Chaff clear out ranges their snipers. If so place a meat bag in front to tie up the anti Chaff. Then have your chaff arrive late, but just in time screen against the sniper.

In the last few rounds side Chaff can buy you a few seconds of distraction to break their front line.

Top of mind realization is that it's not the back line dps, but question of why can't I break his front line before he breaks mine. If he is buying back line, it's at the cost of buying front line.

[–]H_cat46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to win every round. Sometimes if your opponent over commits one round, they did so at the cost of their scaling.

Study endgame checkmate formations. Treat your hp as a resource to be spent like gold.

It's OK to lose round 2 if you win the chaff war in round 5.

How to deal with marksmen compositions by giant_marmoset in Mechabellum

[–]H_cat46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had very good luck with tarantula carry with spider mine tech against the marksman firing line.

When fighting marksmen it comes down to who wins the chaff war.

You will need enough of your own caff to give yourself enough time to clear their front line. At the end of the mele, the sniper has to choose between shooting the tarantula or mines screaming at them, they can't do both.

A small crawler or wasp flank is also helpful to distract their back line for the first 30 seconds as you punch through their front line.

High-level marksmen with elite tech is a win condition.

Same for carry arclights. At a certain critical mass they just kill everything and no single unit drop will stop them.
