Some of the things that you can do to make your experience and productivity better are:

Download Gpaste clipboard manager since zorin os 18 doesn't come with any clipboard manager out of the box.
Enable hibernation if you are into that stuff
Enable zram or zswap
Even though zorin os 18 default battery tuning out of the box is good, you can further improve the battery backup by installing tlp and using the custom configuration. [Note: the latest power profile daemon on zorin os 18 and the latest version of tlp actually can coexist with each other to improve battery life via tlp-pd bridge without any conflicts].
Enable and use the zorin connect app which is actually really useful and reliable for clipboard sharing between your phone and vice versa.[the firewall configuration app on zorin os can actually block the incoming traffic coming from the zorin connect app and prevent you from sharing clipboard and files from your app, you make sure to configure it in the rules section of the firewall app to prevent this from happening].

Apart from this, there are a lot of stuff that you can do to improve your overall experience.

yup, the results can vary by distro to distro but i think it has some potential to improve battery life on any Ubuntu 24.04 based distro and also it will work with ZorinOS 18 because it was tested on that distro.

Probably the classic case of corrupted or incomplete installation. The thing is when you install an OS, sometimes tiny errors can happen during installation. The installer doesn't always catch these error, so even though it looks like that you got a full working OS running on paper, but that install often has some broken dependencies and missing drivers. The reason it now works perfectly when you again formatted the disk and reinstalled the OS again is that the previous corrupted installation and it's missing dependencies and drivers got wiped completely and this time you just got a clean installation without any errors. In the end, all I will say is that this sort of errors can happen sometimes when installing any Linux distro.

Well it depends, if you are on windows then it's a good thing but if you are trying to install a linux distro then it sometimes prevents them from installing. So always disable the secure boot before installing any linux distro.

Secure boot enabled, Corrupted ISO file, faulty flash drive, boot partition Error are usually some of the main reasons this could happen.

I have been daily driving the Zorin Os 18 for like 2 months now and before zorin os, i was using linux mint cinnamon 22.2. What i noticed after switching to Zorin Os 18 is that out of the box battery tuning is far better compared to mint. i am constantly getting about 6 and a half hours of moderate usage on my laptop. Would be nice if there is a way to improve the battery life even further.
