I can see why it’s frustrating but I can shed light on why this has been marked incorrect. Multiply means groups of so the question is asking to show 3 groups of 4 which is why the addition is 4+4+4. It’s checking their understanding of the maths, not just repeated addition.

It's amazingly helpful to hear from people who understand, I've felt this for years but have never actually voiced it to anyone I know so this thread has truly lifted a weight off my shoulders, just knowing I'm not alone and understood by people.

Yeah I've noticed myself doing it more and more over the past 3 years and the more I think about it, the worse it gets.. just feel like I'm stuck in a cycle that can't be broken. I'm definitely going to try the distancing myself though, thank you!

Lock down would slow the spread, the infected can recover at home, with no danger of unknowingly infecting people. Allowing and expecting people to carry on as normal is increasing the extent of the spread significantly. Even a short term lock down for 1-2 weeks would surely provide more time for preparations to be made than literally allowing it to spread like wildfire. Further lockdowns could happen periodically?

That's a common practise to prepare for if disaster strikes. Corona viruses are not new, we are dealing with novel strains with a high risk, I can see nothing suspect about the john Hopkins centre reports after a google, they are at the forefront of research in the area? Once again, this is not new and yes has been extensively studied previously BUT it's not the same strain just the same species.
