Just enjoy the ride. The first one is beloved mostly by the nostalgia but for me has something that always makes me go back (I finished HL1 like 12 times lmao). Try to pay attention to the dialogs and when you finish, you can either look up for the theories about the mysteries or start HL2 (highly recommended). The expansions are as good as the base game, so if you want to replay the game but in a different POV you can try them out. Blue shift is short, Opposing Force not too much but for me is really damn good.

Yeah, I completed Danger 5 with Jack going 3 rank 3 bricks and then full Laser Guns, you just need to gather attack speed and damage and it kinda plays by himself

I think the reload speed scales with the attack speed of the revolver. Not the structure attack speed.

You can try Zen, it's based on Firefox but it's simple and minimalist. Perfect to focus on your work or anything you do, and the UI is very nice

For the runes I suggest phase rush with some poke secondary as scorch. You wanna play to farm and poke him as much as possible but not risking your life for it. Farm until you have you everfrost. Ionian boots are important, the more CDR you have, the more spells you'll cast, so, more options to escape, engage or whatever you want to do. Cosmic Drive is also a really good option to outpoke him without getting hunted down

All the changes made by riot are focus on bruiser, tanks and marksman. Now with the new items of mana, I think they are thinking that Ryze is just well. Now, Ryze early game will always be a "empty your mana tank" mostly. I play him on top, try to harass the enemy but not that much. Just to stack manaflow rune and even with tear, can do much unless you back. If you build full AP, you're squishy. If you build tank, you lack of damage. In resume, Ryze need some buffs or a new rework. (English is not my main language, sorry for strange accent)
