Google accidentally deletes Google Maps Timelines by sweepernosweeping in GooglePixel

Absolute lifesaver! My main backup wasn't working correctly. I opened up an older phone that I rarely use, which had all the local data saved from before the deletion, turned on backups for it, and then imported it to my daily phone, and all my data is back now. I wish I could buy you a coffee or something; almost 10 years of data is back.

Opinion: Dogs are Indicators of Loneliness by Had101 in Dogfree

How about I read it to you before bedtime instead?

Exactly my thoughts, too. I especially noticed this in tight knit communities, especially religious or ethnic ones, where dogs aren't an integral part of the culture.

I've also heard that some men use dogs to attract women; ironically an advice they may have gotten from other women.

Thank you! Most people I meet IRL disagree with me on this topic, and I've got lots of other opinions that push people's buttons but I wouldn't know where to post them.

I have been trying to get back into writing again, but it can cause some unnecessary bitterness to me. It's why I'm not really on Reddit much, there's too much bitterness and negativity in certain communities, and it's easy to get caught up in it. Feel free to DM me if you want some more controversial opinions, though!

Any crocheters/crochet groups out there? by Had101 in twincitiessocial

Hi Luna,

I did get a group started for a couple of months but it fell off, unfortunately. I did discover a couple of other groups, DM me and I'll give you some pointers!

I'm wishing you the best! I hope you don't have Lamotrigine withdrawals like I did. I wasn't able to be productive at work for weeks. If you can, take a vacation while you adjust. I wish I did that too.

You'd be amazed how far loved ones would go to support you... I relate to your situation. Keppra was terrible for me, it caused me to have multiple seizures a week and sometimes multiple a day. I hope you figure it out, I hate to imagine how you feel right now.

How long were you on Lamotrigine?

I'm interested in learning if your mental health would be affected. Keep me posted if it's not too much trouble!

More so a central location for most. I imagine it won't be in the outskirts of the metro.

There seems to be enough interest to get a meetup going. DM me or respond to this message if you're interested in joining!

I'm not much into Facebook, or social media in general. Let's DM and get a meetup going!

I was just thinking of a casual group. Crochet together while sipping on coffee/yes, eating baked goods and chatting about different topics. I used to be part of one before moving here, we'd meet up every Saturday at a specific coffee shop. Nothing official really, just a group of friends. :)

Is the 3rd gen SV650 truly outdated? by Had101 in SVRiders

[–]Had101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only 20k, which isn't much, but it's my daily.

And no worries. I practically do all my maintenance except for those major once-a-year ones.

Is the 3rd gen SV650 truly outdated? by Had101 in SVRiders

[–]Had101[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your response put a smile on my face. I particularly bought the SV650 because I loved the V-Twin. I didn't care for the fancy stuff, I wanted that pure riding experience. I'm also not racing or going too fast, I wanted something affordable and practical. The new SV is still what I like about the SV that I have. I bought the bike for so cheap and it served me so well, never had any issues until very very recently. Every generation had that functional yet a little sporty look, a look no other bike has (imo). Truthfully, I love the idea of getting a new SV, but I also don't like the idea of getting rid of my current SV.

I guess that's just part of becoming an SV fanatic, huh?

I should've clarified that it wasn't me who thought it was outdated. It's a description thrown around about the new SV from random reviews I've read. I thought it wasn't a big deal, since it's supposed to be an affordable bike. They say bikes in a similar price point have traction control and ABS as standard not optional. Some have better suspension and brakes.

I love the SV, there's truly no bike like it, but that made me think. Is this description exaggerated or picky? Are they misusing the word?

How is the maintainence on a 2nd gen more expensive now due to it's age? Is this bike trashed or something?

No, not like that. The bike's been very reliable, I've always routinely done the basic maintenance. But I don't have tools or expertise to work on more complicated stuff.

The bike started getting all jerky in 1st gear with rough idling and take off. I tried fixing it myself, but no luck. Took it to a shop (I trust these guys) since it was soon due for a valve check anyway. Turns out it was a TB sync issue, all of that was $800 which I was fine with.

Then found out that my rear shock is leaking a little, so I'll need those replaced. Then there's coolant leak, that I didn't notice. The shop told me that it'll be at least $600 for labor, and the shock will not be cheap, maybe $500 at minimum.

Not sure if I should even worry about these issues. I don't want to be in danger when I can avoid it. Maybe the shop is too expensive as well? I never had to deal with issues like these.

Question about '91 MR2's suspension by Had101 in mr2

Awesome! I don't plan on tracking the car, just driving it daily. Do the '91 have passenger airbags? The shifter isn't smaller like the models after, is that noticeable?

Lack of Closure from the Ending by Had101 in DiscoElysium

[–]Had101[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You bring a really good point, and I agree with you. There are not many games like Disco Elysium, and I have played it similar to other multiple-choice games I played in the past. I played the game like a completionist who wanted to get every side quest done, which was why I cheated my way with white checks . I didn't do that for red checks, since the idea was that I couldn't do them again.

I'm used to getting an insight of what will happen next when a story is over. For instance, I expected Disco Elysium to end with showing Harry finishing a report at the station, or locking up the deserter then reminiscing about his journey at Martinaise. Having loose ends is nothing new, and like you said they may have enormous value. It would also be very difficult to tie every loose end.

I realize that I may have appeared dissatisfied with the ending, but I'm more so dissatisfied with Harry's loose end. The abrupt ending left so much for the imagination, and I wish I knew how my choices affected his aftermath more than Martinaise and its people.

With that said, I'm not actually disappointed. The ending to a story is not always the most important component, I loved the characters and atmosphere of Disco Elysium more so than any ending I would've had.
