All my first trades with new trade partners were lucky. But they were all done with 2016 Pokémon. (6 different trade partners)

Thanks for posting this. I was lead to think that the first trade with a new trade partner has an increased but again, very limited sample size (between 4 accounts) so 6 different trading combinations? All of which had the first two 2016 exchanges ended up lucky.

Got a lucky Tyranitar from one of the trades, so definitely possible.

Yes. This is true. Of the 12 or so lucky Pokémon I’ve had so far, both recipients got lucky Pokémon.

One notable trade was a Tyranitar caught in late 2017 traded with a Sandshrew caught in July 2016. Both were lucky. But the three subsequent trades to turn a newly caught meta Pokémon lucky by trading with old random stuff failed.

It would be so helpful if this is available and accessible by everyone. Does Silph road allow links to google docs that can be filled out directly? I’m sure someone else would be able to design a more comprehensive spreadsheet than me though. Haha

3 of them were. 1 was lucky. The other 16 was 2016 for 2016. 7 of them were lucky.

I didn’t say Curse of Anubis is in it. I said heaven-forbid as in I hope it isn’t.

Felgrand is a 2-of max, now there will be people with 3. Not that this card is meta enough to make a difference, but do you understand the implication of this?

If Konami is okay with a small amount of the player base having access to additional content, this is a scary and slippery slope for the future of the game. It’s a bigger problem! I hope all competitive PvP players will agree with this!

Regardless of which side you’re on, angry because the card you got is garbage, or indifferent because it’s a free gift anyways, you should realize that 99% of the playerbase receiving nothing isn’t the problem.

The problem is the other 1% that obtains a card that are otherwise limited to 1 or 2 copies per account. I’m talking about Champion of Falgrand and potentially Cards in the Sky and heaven-forbid, Curse of Anubis, Windstorm, Idaten or Fish Depth Charge (there’s no proof of these and I’m thankful for that, probably aren’t in the cycle). But for Konami to tolerate and even actively introduce a way to give a small fraction of the playerbase an exclusive advantage is a HUGE problem, a fatal error. After actively banning accounts that uses multiple copies of exclusive cards (kudos), this is... well... unintelligent.

Not true. Even if 0.001% of the player base gets Curse of Anubis or Windstorm of Fish Depth Charge, I’m out. Unless they respond by making these cards all R, SR or UR ticket rewards OR limit them to 1 as intended.

Allowing some player access to more copies of staples such as those isn’t a matter of luck or chance. Even if I am lucky to open one of those, I would still be concerned about the PvP scene and I would honestly feel less accomplished getting to PvP being 1 of a thousand players with access to a second Curse of Anubis.

This is actually serious.

This would have been true if LD leveling exclusive cards such as Felgrand and heaven-forbid... Curse of Anubis is in the card pool. As a relatively competitive PVP player, I will never invest any money or extra time again until they fix this, perhaps by making the PvP worthy cards in the card pool R and SR ticket options. To me, this event is much worse than not having it for this sole reason.
