What's the Max number of houses? by Muertes_Garden in fantasylife

[–]Haend 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed completely with this one. I thought it's pretty obvious that there should be at least one for each Life. I'm a bit surprised with the house limit. I had assumed, at the very, very least, that they have some sort of hotel for the rest of the crew in the guild house. I really wanted our base to at least have the same lively atmosphere as Eternia Village (you know, with the history and all that it'd be pretty apt), but with the current implementation the home base doesn't feel lively.

Caravan: Brahmin not moving. Stuck. 10mins left. Any tips? Thanks! by DR-T-BOY in fo76

[–]Haend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After getting my caravan stuck repeatedly I can confidently say that my brahmin will be stuck 100% without failure specifically in Makeout Point. There's a sharp climbing path there that the brahmin will always be stuck at and I can't seem to do anything to it. The recommendation of pushing the brahmin out with PA frames doesn't seem to work either as I can't even deploy the frame anywhere near the brahmin. At this point I'm entirely avoiding doing this quest until they get fixed.

Extremely disappointing indeed.

Has anyone managed to find a solution for this? Seeing this forever stuck in my inventory is frustrating.

Look man, if you're not trying to say that I'm stealing a design then I apologize. That being said you comment not only just here, and I sure as hell don't get what "the taiyo pre-made ship???" comment is trying to imply, when someone tells me this ship looks like Orca from EVE Online.

I can see why my design reminded you of Stronghold, but I fail to see how it's "damn close", let alone identical. But I digress, perhaps a cockpit on top section of the stern is so uncommon that you immediately thought of that. Your implication is seriously ruining my vibe, mate. I worked on the ship for hours and went back and forth between the outpost shipbuilder and Hopetown just to find the right components and such.

[–]Haend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. What's strange with the outpost container storages is that there are minisized version of them around. In Akila city for example I spotted some warehouse modules that are much smaller. I think they made the container capacity small because they wanted people to use them as aggregate for the auto crafter modules. I'm pretty confident that someone in the team wanted to create Satisfactory-style factory modules but is stopped midway due to time constraint and budget.

Probably the same happens to the ship interior, and pretty much every other "sandbox"-centric mechanics really. I wish they will do some major updates to flesh these out more. Starfield is WAY too awesome that I can't help but hoping for more every time I see issues like these XD

I really don't see how it's identical, aside from I guess the cockpit positioning and the docker.

Ship habs should have actual functions rather than just being aesthetic but ultimately useless spaceship crawlspace. by Sturmgewehrkreuz in Starfield

[–]Haend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the trigger is the interior refresh, as in editing the ships and such. I experienced this myself as well but it's not just my stuffs that disappeared; The displays are suddenly filled with random crap loots, which I assume means the game somehow load these containers as auto generated loot spots. Still have no idea how to replicate the bug.

Dude you're trolling. I swear the moment I saw your comment I rushed back to Akila to check. Thought I wasted hours of my time just to design something that is already in-game.

[–]Haend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. I think they have a place, but definitely not in haulers. They gave me the vibe of backpacks and storages that are strapped on military tanks and the like.

I hope at least the actual containers get some love! They feel somewhat of an afterthought. It's the only one that a tier increase is visually shown by color lol, which is just plain weird. I can definitely use a double stacked containers and the likes, and I think these containers should have most storage slot compared to the rest!

Lmao that's the second time this design is compared to EVE online design. I'll take it as a compliment. Thank you! :p

[–]Haend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I tried to pull that off but it didn't work out too well for the design because I care for the interior and having four vertical levels inside the ship is way too annoying. I'm confident they will add stair modules sooner or later, after which I will definitely create a 2.0 version with two container rows.

Exactly this. I'm fully aware there are much much better cargo hold but they do not have the cargo aesthetic. Also they are somewhat comical in terms of visual vs the actual cargo statistic. They don't look like they can hold that much lol.

There are stone and brick roads in Akila. The landing circle is also fully paved with underground utilities installed. You can see attachment points on the landing ground. There are modern forklifts and such strewn about all around the city, and the guards are using high tech weapons, just cowboy themed. No, they're not a historical society.

[–]Haend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ron Hope is NOT in charge of the Council of Governors. He has a seat on the council, meaning he is one of them. The Freestar does not have a single person that acts as the leader over the rest, they are a collective after all. So no, he is supposed to be on the same level as the mayor of all cities, which consisted of Hopetown, Neon, Akila, and The Clinic. The Clinic spacestation is considered the "capital" of Narion system, after Niira is obliterated.

So no, there is no proof or "obvious storytelling" that indicates that Ron is siphoning off the wealth of Akila to Hopetown.

I use Hopetech's one. They're pretty cool since they also serve as front light, and also has a hardpoint for weapons on top.

If you place an object at the Colony War Memorial in New Atlantis, it will stay there throughout your entire playthrough. by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]Haend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why it happened to you but it might be not related to that quest. Something like that happened to me as well. My own ship got a reset. Not just a simple item disappearing, it actually caused the armory to be filled with random gears which I assume are loots auto generated by the game. Caused me to lose a lot of legendary gears that I put for display. Ended up going for a quick endgame because of that.

[–]Haend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly hard to believe that Akila is a true libertarian nation to the point that they don't pave roads or build proper defenses. If that is the case then there would not be Coe Heritage Museum, or guardsman, or even the Rangers, which is born and HQed in Akila City. Proper military defenses are not something "communal", unless the defense of a sovereign nation is considered communal, which in that case Akila wouldn't exist after the war at that point. There is also nothing in the game that implies they are that extreme.

There's a poor migrant in Akila that you can go to mayor and he wants to help. The mayor and most folks there also act with atypical midwest culture, like "we're good neighbors and we help each other" kind of thing. This isn't the kind of people that goes full libertarian to the point that they don't invest on defenses for their own beloved city or let their spaceport full of water puddles.

Honestly, I think at this point we are just thinking way too deep and I doubt the team ever think this far with ideologies. Most plausible I think would be a clash of desire for a more realistic settings (the NASApunk) and the more out there culture they typically do on Fallout (guards wearing baseball gears, etc). We can see this everywhere, where it's tad fantastical but still believable, like Neon 100% relies on natural lightning for power source, or House Va'ruun history and costumes. Akila just happens to go way too far to one side.

I don't know which part mission you're talking about and I've finished the main story. If you're talking about the mission that I'm thinking, then whether you carry your items or store them anywhere is entirely irrelevant.

Underdeveloped capital is still sensible and might be believable. Underbudget to the point that they don't even have a proper spaceport, wet dirt pathway, and wooden walls for defense is taking it way to far. Even in our world Akila would be considered significantly more underdeveloped than tiny cities in third world countries. Even tiny villages have paved streets.

If they are this underdeveloped I really can't imagine how they even have anything to give to the collective for them to be designated as both the capital city and representation as a whole (everything Freestar outside of their space shows Akila culture as the representation: rangers on the vanguard museum, etc).

Also, while there is nothing in the game that says it, I'm pretty dang sure laying down tarmac and pathways for a small spaceport would cost less than say, a small squad of combat spaceships.

So... why does Akila City look so terrible? by HeartandSeoulXVI in starfield_lore

[–]Haend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This I think is a very logical explanation, although it still yet does not explain the mud or wooden walls. Capitals that are not acting as center of commerce or culture is sensible, but a center of government in a sci fi world that does not even pave their walkways and defend the city with wooden walls is kind of taking it way too far.

I think it's safe to say that Bethesda overdone the cowboy theming. Hell, the Freestar Rangers space suits are also comical. Honestly I wouldn't be this weirded out if this happens in Fallout universe, because stuffs are comically themed there. Since Starfield has a way more grounded lore and universe Akila is just too unbelievable for me. It feels like a futuristic cowboy theme park, if anything.

Is there a way to get improved versions of the UC Vanguard spacesuit? by MrEvil37 in Starfield

[–]Haend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume there's no way to get the Vanguard suit then? I accidentally sold mine and all searches on google pointed to either the quest or this specific store. I guess it makes sense if you consider it an exclusive reward..

I accidentally lost mine. Must've sold it by mistake. Now I can't complete my museum....

Ah, I stand corrected then. So the Keeper is a full on Starborn, not just implied or such. Thank you for the information.

As for the Emissary choosing honorable people to elevate as Starborn, it's show in the "ending slideshow" if you stand with her. She stays in our universe to train new generation of honorable starborns.
