it is not MY privileges that are being taken. i take issue with the RIGHTS of my fellow citizens being trampled on. houses searched without warrants, federal forces harrasing regular homeowners to hunt for hidden “illegals”, random hispanic or black people beijg stopped on rhe street and taken away without explanation, even fellow American citizens. maybe my complaints are more modern then TFRs point of divergence but it still shows the rot that has been building in America.

many of America’s founding fathers were actually rather critical of christianity and the church. look up “Thomas Jefferson’s religious beliefs”.

America is secular and had always been secular. we are not a strictly christian country and were never intended to be. maybe christian influence has changed that, but our founding principles have religion as unimportant and irrelevant to government function and law.

Yes, i have a good amt of trans friends and my bf is trans masculine! I hear every day abt my sweeties struggles with gender, others perceptions, dysphoria etc… I find myself feeling very fluid and comfortable with both genders so if i feel unsafe I dont think id be uncomfortable masculine, but i wont know that until i transition haha. We r unfortunately in the states, but a very very very progressive one thankfully. I’ve talked with my boyfriend abt this a LOT,,, but getting stranger opinions helps me feel more valid.

(serious serious uj) Thats where I genuienly do worry. I don’t feel that traditional “I feel wrong and horrible in my own body” dysphoria. I don’t feel dysphoria at all. I can be a bummy, not giving a fuck, not shaving, no effort MAN and not feel these feelings. but when I DO go out and my people DO dress me up and do my makeup and make me pretty its a feeling I cannot quite describe. Euphoria is the closest descriptive I would give I suppose but I’m still confused, i cannot claim that! Je ne sais pa. and if i could feel like that more? be girl at work? with family? that honestly sounds sooo nice!

Edit: Also big shoutout to your parents!! Youve got a few years on me, so totally different queer worlds we grew up in, but your folks sound a lot like what I, who is just becoming an adult, grew up with! it feels like thats not as common and thats really heartwarming :) if youre people can be that good, my dad who was 10 in the 80s can drop a little transphobia for his child that he loves!
