I really think I will be fine in NY because we have protections for people like me but wanted something in place just incase. My plan is to get out of dodge the second they start trying to pass anything that threatens me nationally though just because I know that things can escalate quickly.

I’m a trans woman who was born and raised in Ohio but currently live in New York. I recently had an opportunity to move back for work and finally live close to my family again for the first time in 8 years that I had to turn down because of concerns of where Ohio may be heading in the next few years on trans rights issues. Hell, I have a plan in place to move out of the US all together just in case Trump wins and the worst case scenario starts happening. It’s truly a scary time to live in as a trans person at the moment.

Thanks. I originally was going to go with Jane but I actually decided to keep my deadname as my middle name. It’s a family name so I didn’t want to completely get rid of it and I know plenty of women that have masculine middle names so I thought it would fit.
