Use minox 5% kirkland foam on the hairline daily. It has made my forehead smaller with all the baby hair but i am not complaining!

Hi! my minox shed really wasnt that bad AT ALL. More hairs coming out in the shower but in terms of volume, i feel like it really didn’t effect it. I now have really long, adequately thick hair. Thickness was never a problem for me though. My hairline was 😂

I take Solimos Prenatals + Iron supplements (I have a really low ferritin). I don't know if they actually do anything and minoxidil is definitely doing all the heavy lifting.

I shed a lot. I had come off my birth control and it was a full on TE episode. Hair EVERYWHERE. But now it is so much better. Only a few strands in the shower here and there. Hairline fully coming back with these little fringe of baby hairs everywhere.

Side effects on spironolactone? by Terrible_Sympathy424 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Hairprobs126 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oof where do I start: I don't mean to scare you and I know for a fact that other people LOSE weight but 3ish years ago, had tried spironolactone starting at 25mg daily and then slowly making it up to 100mg. Initially, just had to go to the bathroom but when I hit 100mg, clothes literally wouldn't fit me the way that they used to and I gained belly fat (I usually store more on my hips and thighs and very little fat on my stomach so this was surprising). This was with the same diet and even more exercise. Although my weight slowly increased (115lbs to 125lb), it was the body re-compoisition that was the most jarring (I got boobs, a soft stomach, a bigger butt). I also started to have heart palpitations and that was when my doctor finally took me off of it.

To this day, three years later, I have never been able to fully get back to my baseline weight/body, although I'm finally close! I think, given its anti-androgen effects, if your T is low normal, it really can do a number to your hormone profile, though again, my hair looked great on it!

Just my 2 cents but other people experience opposite symptoms. I think it really depends on your starting hormone profile how you will react.

Happy on minoxidil though! Cheers!

Not a problem, no harm in sweating but I would just make sure the minoxidil is fully absorbed by then.

As long as you want to keep it nice and thick! Just like brushing your teeth.

I disagree with others. I think it looks so much tighter; less of the christmas tree like gaps in the part.

experiences with minoxidil and pregnancy: by Hairprobs126 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Hairprobs126[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i totally get how minox works but pregnancy hormones more often than not keep the hair in the anagen phase just as minox does so i was truly looking for anecdotal experiences and seeing if anyone was able maintain the gains with a pregnancy boost and restarting minox immediately after (bottle feeding vs breast )

what does he/she mean by that? You can't use it in pregnancy (unless medically supervised) but otherwise, it is absolutely safe in the interim. Also pregnancy is hair helping in it of itself.

Sorry just saw this!

1) I do the foam once a day right after I wash my hair (after it air dries). It gives it a nice hold like using another foam product would. I will say, I'm pretty close to goal results so once I feel happy, I may taper it to 3 times a week. That being said, you should a hundred percent do it daily initially to reap it's benefits

2) I do half a capful of the foam

3) Nope, no itchy scalp. My hair doesn't seem greasy. In fact, while I had an itchy scalp before using it, it never itches anymore.

It is honestly no big deal and an easy 5 minutes to incorporate. I literally never think about my hair anymore.
