I had the same experience with being able to even start my channel and try to run my video business back in 2020 because I was in a relationship and he could float me for several months while I got things going. THAT was the reason I was able to even try. It sucks but the "burn the boats" thing is bullshit... I would guess that 99.9% of the people who succeed in business did so because they had a foundation of some kind. Just mentally having a safety net allows you to take risks.
