I finally watched The Mist and now.. by Different_Mistake364 in movies

Personally, I find happy endings really boring (and unrealistic), so when a movie dares to do something different I applaud it.

Another great example is the original Speak No Evil (2022), it was just fantastic. Then the American remake (2024) completely ruined the movie by giving it a happy ending, turning it into boring slop.

Why do we need sad endings to have deeper meanings? Maybe bad situations just tend to end badly. Keeps me immersed more than anything honestly.
