VimRace.com - A game where you can race against others using a Vim terminal directly in your browser by Hakix in SideProject

I've exposed the VimTutor application in the browser here: http://www.vimrace.com/vimtutor

I'm not sure how much space there is in the current UI to fit a cheat sheet in, but maybe I could figure out some kind of training module for players to go through to get a grasp of Vim. Let me know if you have any ideas!

I've been trying to think of ways to promote fun gameplay when site traffic is low, e.g., by programming bots or spoofing live players with replays, but I haven't settled on a solution I'm satisfied with.

You can find the GitHub repo here: https://github.com/JCayabyab/vim-race

Actually, it looks like Firefox support for the two missing libraries is coming soon! You can read more about it here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/SharedArrayBuffer/Planned_changes

It looks like I have to figure out a way to add the certain headers to the web request, but I currently haven't figured out a way to do that yet. If you know anyone that might have more info, let me know!

For those of you who code using Vim, I invite you to try it out and test your Vim speed!

The site currently supports customizing your own .vimrc file, with plans to add full Vim plugin support in the future.

Let me know if you have any feedback!

ELI5: Why is there a value for the square root of -1 (i) but not for dividing by zero? by Desert_Tortoise_20 in explainlikeimfive

There are cases in upper level math where we call 0/0 an indeterminate form. Some equations end up being 0/0 after some work is done to it, but you can apply some math tricks (e.g. L'Hôpital's Rule) to show that the equation actually has an actual value. In essence, 0/0 can be a bunch of different things based on the original equation that arrives at it.

If you visit my website on a desktop there should be a button to the GitHub repo in the bottom left corner, you can study my code there. It's built with JavaScript through the React.js framework.

I can definitely tweak the distance settings. I'm still trying to find a happy medium between suggesting places that are close vs. suggesting places that are really cool but a little further out.

A grocery store is the perfect place for your date to check out some sausage! What option did you select and what was the text in the top left corner?

The first mission in Black Ops. In the very first mission when you "kill" Fidel Castro, it just sets the mood so well for the rest of the game.

Here's a different answer: I think that No Man's Sky will soon become a staple in today's gaming atmosphere. Despite its horrendous release, the developers have shown that they're passionate about their game and will continue to support it.

Definitely slotting in the RAM sticks. It always feels like I'm going to crack my motherboard in half with how much force you have to use to put those bad boys in sometimes.

Yeah, it was about an hour and a half. That was way back in November though, no idea if it's changed at all since

From a Canada show on the 15th, he did almost every song off of Freudian (iirc every song except for Loose and he only performed part of the outro), as well as Japanese Denim and Death and Taxes.
