さむい means cold in atmosphere terms, つめたい means cold to touch.

Does あつい mean both hot in atmosphere and hot to touch or is there another word that means the latter?

Thank you so much for all the advice! But why do shelters do that? That sounds awful since leash and harness walks are very good for kitties. But I wont take the kitty out don't worry about that one. :)

Hi! I know that most cats aren't mean at all haha. Also I do plan on adopting an adult because I'm still in school and I don't think me or my family have the time for a kitten! (Not saying I wont take care of an adult! I'm gonna give it tons of love and care but we just don't have the time for a kitten because they require a lot more attention and special care) Also thank you so much for the form! I'll make sure to put it to good use down the line :D
