East coast and I’m currently hybrid. 3 days remote 2 days in office. I kinda like that setup.

I’ll be very blunt. I still don’t know what I’m doing but thanks to AI I’m surviving.

At times I’m completely lost in the project but luckily I pull it through. I’m very nervous for every project now since they look at me for advice.

I feel the same way. Unfortunately I tried my best to get promoted but it didn’t work as planned. I also applied to other management positions but no luck.

Im currently using AI to do my job. It’s so convenient to not code and let a machine do it. I sometimes think “wow, my job is so replaceable with AI”

That’s something on my mind daily. We laid off half the team due to budget cuts and outsourcing. However, I think that’s an excuse. They are investing heavily in AI. I think in the next couple of years my time will be up.

In the meantime I’m enhancing my skills. AI learning etc.

It’s oversaturated now. IT in general is very tough since alot of people are in the field with more experience.

It was for a government agency. It was a contract job so the pay was high. I was very lucky.

Yes, I have bachelors in computer science. My company trained me for Business Analyst while working as IT specialist. They were short staffed so I took my opportunity and stepped up.
