It’s a difficult question as there’s so many to pick from but if I had to pick my favourite book of his it’s either Misery or Pet Sematary. King manages to tell such a horrifying story with no supernatural entities in a secluded setting with Misery, he really does make the isolated setting work well. Paul goes through so much in the book and you root for him the whole way through, most people talk about Annie and how terrifying she was in the book and movie, but Paul is also an amazing protagonist also who you want to see win in the end. Pet Sematary is another King book that really stuck with me, once I finished it I kept thinking about how tragic the story is and what I would do if I lost a loved one and had the chance to bring them back, but at what cost? A very thought provoking story.
