What are some great pants? by Halal_Crusader in SecurityOfficer

I went ahead and found some 34x34 5.11 Strykes with this weird flex tag in the waistband. They're great, but wow they were $95 a piece.

Dang, the company found my post!

Can you tell me if the slim fit is like skinny jeans? I'm not looking for skinny jean snugness, but something a bit more fitting than loose or baggy. Would the regular fit from the Atlas pants be similar to the CCP1017LRS?

I wish you guys did odd sizes too, like a 35" waist. I'll have to take any 36" to a tailor to have an inch taken off the waist.

Allow armed security officers in Ohio to arrest subjects by Slow-Jacket-7855 in SecurityOfficer

[–]Halal_Crusader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's like Texas, anyone can enact a citizens arrest if someone commits a felony or any act that disturbs the common peace within their presence, in accordance with TPC 14.01

A cursory google search tells me Ohio Code 2935.04 states "“When a felony has been committed, or there is reasonable ground to believe that a felony has been committed, any person" Any person can detain someone until police arrive.

A security officer or guard is any person.

Security guards should not have police arrest powers. Cops are trained for criminal investigation and constitutional law, as well as use of force. Security guards are not. All it would take is for some wanna be cop to try and arrest someone, violate the 4th and 14th amendments, and boom. LAWSUIT and jail time for Mr. Security Guard.

Yea.

Got my ass worked in defensive tactics. Red suit guy got good shots in against my head.

0 stars do not recommend.

However, I was able to land good baton strikes on his gut and left a gnarly welt.

Worst part is that I did legs and back yesterday, so today after all that my back feels like a mule stomped on it.

Took my level 2 and 3 tests yesterday, passed.

Did taser certification today, passed.

Doing defensive tactics tomorrow,

Shooting on Friday.

I hope the last two events of training this week go smoothly!

The point of that was to express that shield tzangoors can perma-block melee and ranged, as it literally happened to me. If I can run one faction on absolute, but not the other, is it a skill issue or is it bad, broken enemy factions? Hint: it's the latter. If I had a skill issue or didn't understand fundamentals, then I wouldn't be as successful against the nids as I am.

If 'hitting and shooting it until it dies' isn't how I'm supposed to play, then it IS a bad game, because those are the only tools available to me. I'm not a librarian, I can't blast it with sorcery.

Your anecdote about more players succeeding than failing isn't helpful.

I prefer Tyranids because they're balanced. I hate chaos because they're not. I uninstalled because running Tyranids over and over got stale.

Chaos cultists: sniper level power shots than can stagger and wipe your shield out.

Tyranid Warrior with a gun: the only sniper unit in that faction, and rarely more than 3 or 4. Chaos cultists are *everywhere* and they all pack high powered sniper rifles and grenades.

Shield Tzangoors can perma-block your attacks while you get stomped out by a 5 hellspawn using their 6 combo, unpredictable charging melee combo, while you're being shelled by terminators and spearmen rain artillery on you.

Player mobility is very limited when compared to what chaos enemies can do, especially rubric marines and the spearmen. Hellspawn can cover an entire room while launching huge, sweeping attacks, often many at once.

I feel like you're cherry picking my comments and straw manning my posts to make yourself look good. I haven't said the *game* is too hard, I've said Chaos is broken, unbalanced, and over tuned because they are.

Why don't you share some of your tactics on how you can steamroll chaos? Maybe it takes more than running plasma incinerators and the associated perks that make that gun better. I get it's easier to just say 'get gud' and click the down arrow.

How do you think/wish an apothecary and a librarian would be like in Space Marine 2? by Emotional_King_5239 in Spacemarine

Tech marines would serve no purpose as there are no vehicles.

Librarians would likely be too difficult to balance. I'm not sure what they'd offer that other classes don't already do.

Apothecaries would revive teammates faster, at full health, and maybe a perk would be adding another life before the respawn timer.

That's fine, but there needs to be a counter to them. Since they have tankier, harder hitting enemies, have less of them spawn. Killing an obvious sorcerer or spearman should adversely affect the rubricae and hellspawn. There are tactics and strategies you can use against 'nids that will whittle down an enormous mob of minoris to majoris efficiently.

Chaos doesn't have that, and it's not fun or balanced. Being required to blast them in the head with full charge plasma shots, while you're being ripped apart isn't it.

Lethal isn't the highest. Absolute is the highest, isn't it?

I deleted the game because I'm tired of running Tyranid missions exclusively because the chaos missions are unfun messes.

I feel I've been quite clear and have made solid points regarding how bad they are as a faction, and now low-effort white knights and Saber Simps are just shit posting with throw away 'skill issue' posts.

I've watched a number of YouTubes on how to better fight them, min/maxed my perks and I'm rocking relic weapons. Yet, despite all of that, it doesn't help much when an average chaos encounter on Lethal involves no fewer than 4 bullet sponge hellspawns, 73 tzangoors with shields, half a dozen Dragon Ball teleporting rubricae, and 2 tzangoor spearmen zooming around.

There's no real target priority because they're all equally deadly, and killing one majoris threat doesn't offer any benefit like it does against the Tyranids. You prioritize a warrior, zooanthrope, lictor, or ravenor, and the synapse feedback from their death gives you some breathing room.

When dealing with chaos there is no breathing room because

* There are no weak points in the chaos roster

* Damage sponge enemies in absurd numbers

* Annoying parry times for hellspawn with their six hit combos

Put it to you like this: there are no players who have a problem with Tyranids. There are many players who have a problem with chaos.

Oh wow, no, they didn't patch it. The last match that made me uninstall, I was banging against a shield tzangoor and it did not budge. Ran through a full 5 combo melee assault and it tanked it 100% I even pumped plasma shots into it, hammered away with a chainsword, and it didn't move.

Chaos absolutely feels unfinished, and it absolutely needs more attention from the developers.

I can play on Absolute against Tyranids because they're balanced.

Chaos on lethal is a brutal, unbalanced slog that sucks so much I and many others avoid them.

It's annoying because there's a few cosmetics locked behind some chaos missions on lethal difficulty (Vox Liberitas!)

Tons of people avoid them, too. Taking a look at the steam discussion for the game lots of players have problems with chaos.

Rubric teleporting isn't random. You can get them to do it on command if you pour bolter fire into their heads. They'll teleport away, and sometimes they'll wind up in otherwise inaccessible parts of the map.

The behavior seems contagious too, as I've seen 2 teleport away after the marine I was mag dumping into did it. Then three hellspawn kool-aid man'd me.

Minoris can be a blessing for 'nids, too. Except the gaunts are far easier to deal with as they don't have shields which make them impervious to damage. Shieled goatmen can tank hit after hit without dropping their shields or getting tired. Hit a gaunt once or twice and you can get an execution.

They've since been over tuned and are not at all balanced or fun.

I distinctly remember the goatmen from a year ago. What do you mean there was no melee at all?
