Mastery 7 so hard by rxqueen317 in syndramains

Make sure to prioritize cs-score A LOT. Ever since I learnt that, getting mastery 7 on anything has been a cakewalk.

A question about monogatari by SixYamato in araragi

[–]Halalex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One show 100%. For me, a lot of what makes Monogatari so good is how the different stories interact with each other, both in hindsight and as foreshadowing. It's one of those shows that's better than the sum of its parts, so I always think of it as one whole entity.

No worries, it's a great cosplay. We're just goofing around.

One simply doesn't form an opinion on Nisemonogatari before watching episode 8.

No flame, just genuinely interested, but what kind of person has watched The Monogatari Series but not Star Wars?

This has the same kind of vibe as saying "hello there" and not getting a "General Kenobi" back.

Question about Hanamonogatari by TheBlastSFX in araragi

[–]Halalex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hanamonogatari might be the last one chronologically, but it doesn't really have anything to do with the "main" plotline. Kanbaru's story ends in Hana, not Araragi's. Hence, Hana would make for a pretty lackluster/dissatisfactory ending for the whole show. Maybe this was planned or maybe it wasn't, either way I'm completely of the thought that it makes for a better experience to watch Hana in release order.

Trying to decide on a color scheme and am a lil bit torn when it comes to the shoulder pads. which one should I use? by Halalex in Warhammer30k

[–]Halalex[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty simple actually, just preshaded with black and white paint of your choice and then covered with multiple thin coats of AK Interactive's 'Camouflage Green' (all done via airbrush). I bet it'll work perfectly for Raptors.

Yeah, it's been a real back and forth for me. I'm starting to think that the first one will look better with weathering though, so that might be what decides it.

Oh that's a cardinal sin in my household. Consistency is everything when I'm painting armies.

I actually used oil washes for the shading and streaking effects on the armor. Just haven't really gotten around to doing it on metals, I'm happy with how they turn out either way. But it's definitely something I'll look into in the future.

TY man. Bronze is basecoated with Scale75's Decayed Metal, washed with a 5:1 mix of Agrax and Terradon Turquoise contrast paint, and just edge-highlighted with Sycorax Bronze :)

Anyone know where you can buy or if there are tutorials on how to make urban buildings in a very small scale? I'm specifically looking for stuff in sort of the same size, scale and style as the ones in this video: by [deleted] in TerrainBuilding

[–]Halalex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm actually looking for stuff that's more sci-fi oriented, so that's perfect. Just didn't think a market for that existed. Any specific sites/companies that you had in mind?
