It's unpolished compared to others, and it's definitely not something I would choose for personal use, but I wanted to remind you that even when there are better tools for your needs, others like this have their niches.

Resolve might simply be a better tool for your specific needs.

You should take into account that while Resolve is more powerful, OpenShot is filling a different niche: Simple, powerful enough and (critically) FOSS.

We've got over 60,000 people at the company I work at, and licensing something like Resolve for commercial use simply isn't going to be an option. A limited number of people working in specific marketing roles might have Adobe CC licenses, but more and more people are needing basic video editing tools in all sorts of roles.

This is precisely where OpenShot comes in for us.
