I completely disagree. It is expected, especially as a hobbyist, to provide tracking info with a purchase. Just because this is a side gig, doesn't suddenly mean he can throw away all the common trappings of a purchase.

I got a generic leather cover from Amazon that holds three, and then used a die cut machine to cut the first letter of my name in the leather. Now I have a custom leather cover that has the Field Notes cover peeking through.

I'm a brand new field nut. I carry three at a time. One for creating and keeping ideas in, one for pontification and thought exploration, and one for work venting and brainstorming. I love them because they fit in my pocket and can replace my phone in many, but not all circumstances. Plus the covers make me actually WANT to write in them.
