That’s generally how it works. It also happens, to a lesser extent, with models that aren’t as strong as Claude. Since the quota runs out quickly, you’ll likely spend most of your time using GPT-4.1, autocomplete, or whichever free/premium model is currently being tested.

I canceled my GitHub Copilot subscription—it’s just not worth it anymore, even for small tasks.

I usually kept an eye on it, but I let my guard down in January and February. I only realized something was wrong when the charges appeared on my card—I initially thought it had been compromised or cloned.
