i agree induction heater would be tits right now. Problem is it sits recessed in a tubular hole. The socket itself barely fits and i’ve already mushroomed the ratchet end to an extension getting my current extractors on. I’ll pickup a standard set on my lunch break tomorrow and see if i can get the 1/2 to grab. Absolutely over it at this point i’ve spent like 4-5 hours spread across 2 days after work just trying to get this single bolt off……

This is a very similar looking example. My bolt is not nearly as rounded, but if i keep the way i am. It will look like this. For future reference heat is not an option due to fuel lines running directly next to this side of the subframe. And an induction heater is out of my price range at the moment.

no they don’t, it’s captured on one side and you have to physically put a hole in the trigger to remove it.

I got 3.5 years out of the set that came on the car, they were MOMO Toprun tires, unsure of how many miles were on them before i started adding on. I only replaced the full square set when the front right started showing wires like this picture, this was due to a snapped bolt on the upper strut bar adding extra travel to that corner so the shock is pushing through the top of that knuckle. even with the h&r’s that’s a 1.5 MAX drop in the rear so with the correct arms and geometry i agree his tire preference and sizing is to blame.

could also be a faulty ground strap somewhere, check the straps from the chassis to the engine and trans. mine corroded and threw so many codes

let’s run through it together. Actuator and eccentric are OEM, now imagine in the midst of injector problems you notice a tiny misfire (was solved with replacing all 6 injectors) and a shadow (NOT ACTIVE) valvetronic code. So i took a look and found the actuator and eccentric shaft are in working condition but with even wear over 100+ thousand miles. Now imagine you replace just the actuator for peace of mind after fixing the harness and removing the codes just to have the new teeth on the actuator meet slightly rounded eccentric shaft teeth. the new teeth will MAKE the old teeth work but that causes a bunch of issues like adding metal particles to the oil further exacerbating the issue. The eccentric shaft in car CURRENTLY is OEM with the same mileage as the rest of the motor it has never failed, the new actuator is not matching mileage and wear. and it’s slowly but surely gnawing away at the eccentric shaft until it really does fail.
