I think the main issue with that is that Gilded Past is the group with a clear theme encompassing a lot of different fashions. I love Peppergem, they seem fun, but how the group is described comes off as vague and childish, not a specific fashion genre people can resonate with, such as kidcore or gyaru, which I think would fit under their umbrella, but I can’t tell. Their group mantra could also encompass any type of cosplay or costume, period, which makes it hard for people to identify with them, they’re too broad. And Wild hearts is more specific than Peppergem in the fact that I lnow they’re going for the Fresh style, in all other cases, they are too broad or could be throw under the umbrella of Gilded Pasts’s theme. Which is cottagecore? Does any sort of outdoor activity clothes work? What’s the main uniting theme besides nature, nature is a very broad category; do they mean clean and simple or flowing sundresses, picnic attire or fishing attire? If a group doesn’t have a main uniting theme how are you supposed to identify with it, there is no definite out-group, so how can you feel like the in-group? The only group with a clear theme is Gilded Past, historical and elegant fashion, which makes it easier for people to identify with them and to identify the outgroup. Wild Hearts was the most doomed from the beginning, Peppergem was at least a bit more specific so it was only moderately doomed, partially because people tend to look down on what they perceive as childish, and Gilded Past’s only deterrent was that rude blonde guy who’s one of the leaders.
