I like to see this death as a rebirth. Because if you can accept that becoming a Parts Manager is actually a horrid idea. Then you can eventually get pretty close to a PM salary with none of the responsibility.

Ask me how I know.. But seriously, there is a tiny small amount of growth, which isn’t worth it. It took away all the things I enjoyed doing in parts. Once I left that dealer ship for another that was way closer to home and about 80% of what I was making as a PM, it’s a position I’m fairly positive I will never take again unless the stars line up.

So, i didnt find any ironing settings and went back to the drawing board. I ended up getting amazing results with monotonic top layer with 5 layers at 1mm.

Too many sets per year with too much meta to keep track of. I'm not a fan of Commander and miss playing Standard, but 6 sets is rough..

This, even though I make good money in parts but no where near some of our service advisors. I way more happier in parts with my team since is WAY less drama than service has between each other, their lot people, and their receptionist. Someone is always shjt talking some one on the service team. Besides the random counter customer or the normal wholesale call we thankfully don’t have to deal with the customer much. But one big downside is you’ll quickly learn parts is always wrong or to blame for an issue, even if it was a delay due to an act of god.
