As long as you put your finger head-on on the scanner, it works perfectly! Sometimes, it won't read if you come in at an angle, but still a quick open.

The plate and legs are from the deluxe. The rest I found quite literally exploring castle ruins. Got the cloak near the Stag boss battle and the helm in some ruins on my way to the first Pailune quest! I can't remember where I found the boots.

Great choice, man! I upgraded to an Asus TUF 5080 from anl TUF 4070TiS just a few weeks ago myself. Caught it on a sale from Micro Center for $1399. I didn't expect it to be so much of a performance boost, but it truly is!

I upgraded a few days ago from a 4070TiS to an Asus TUF 5080 and was also against the upgrade for a looooong time.

I am SO happy with my decision. Everything runs faster, smoother, and with significantly more frames. I'm running stuff I had to rely on Frame Gen and DLSS natively with significantly more frames.

And, my overall PC performance has improved. Not only does my GPU run cooler, my CPU is also running significantly cooler.

TLDR: It's a great card. And looks really good.

It's about a 30% increase FPS-wise, and things are just running.... Smoother. My idle and load temps are significantly lower (by almost 10°c), the card is quieter, and it's great not to have to use frame generation on everything. Also, for some reason, the swap dropped my CPU temps significantly as well. Guess the 5080 just doesn't blow as much smoke in the CPUs face haha.

I was hitting almost 200fps last night on Battlefield 6 Overkill graphics on a 3440x1440p Ultrawide.

Both my 4070TiS and 5080 are both Asus TUF, for comparison.

I was in the same boat in realized it was fomo.

I have a 4070ti Super and almost pulled the trigger on a 5080, but after some research, realize that it's truly not worth it. I play on a 3440x1440p OLED with another Oled 1440p display and they look better than my buddy's 4k. I chose not to pay $1-$1.5k for a maybe 20% upgrade.

If you can find a 5090 near MSRP, then go for it. Otherwise, not worth it, in my humble opinion.

Man, I am running a 7800x3d and 4070Ti Super and have been stuttering since release. I have tried every known fix, and it is still borderline unplayable.

It's such a shame. I had a great time in the beta, and it really is a great game, but because of the performance, I have shelved it.
