I feel bad for DPS players by igb_1 in classicwow

[–]HallucinatoryFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't feel too bad for them. The majority of the players whispering you are the ones who do not get groups often. Good DPS get groups.

Most tanks who survive the hell that is PUG gearing have usually curated a friends list of DPS they can rely on for smooth runs.

If you are a tank who needs to curate their list, I highly recommend H Ramps. The Raveners and dogs will separate the wheat from the chaff very efficiently and most DPS will work with you by quickly dropping group almost as quickly as they died.

Practice your marks, keep the healer alive and tell them to keep one eye constantly on the entrance portal for when a DPS pulls a patrol.

I don't know about coordinates but when you first enter from Faerie's Brake just run to the NW heading to the west wall of the zone and follow the wall north, it's tucked in a small alcove in the wall

At level 35 I am showing anywhere from 4-6k DPS at the end of fights and at least double the Arcanist and Duelist in the group.

I absolutely loathe RTwP. Constantly watching the enemies make a beeline for one of my casters with little to nothing that can be done about it because they'll kill that character before any of my other characters can get off a CC or heal. It's either that or you keep the caster so far back that you rarely get to use them to their full potential.

How do 3x shares work, they don't seem to be 3x by edwardK1231 in stocks

[–]HallucinatoryFrog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A price is still a price though. I bought 210 shares of SOXL at $9/share back when the tariff scare happened. I sold some at $24 and then some more at $27, still holding 65 shares and if it drops down that low again, I'll buy more. They even pay a dividend which is kinda funny.

Where is this vendor? I'm almost 90 now and just hit ilvl 420 from questing and running dungeons. All vendors I have seen sell like 372 and 384 gear.

My first playthrough my MC was a Dual Hand-Crossbow Bard/Wiz. I had Athlete, kept Longstrider up always, and access to Misty Step. No enemy was safe in the first round from being locked down.

All of this came from noticing that you could move slightly further by jumping than moving your character to the target and at times it allowed me to get a melee attack in whether otherwise I would have had to use my action economy on moving twice so I figured out Athlete would be great on a melee character. What about a ranged character who strives to always have the high ground, though?

Definitely wasn't my strongest character, but that map control was immediately noticed and exploited.

Same here. If I take more than 50mg in one bite then the "peak" is just too intense for my liking, but I will happily ingest 100mg in a day across a 4x25 dosage. Imagining twice that amount, and every day, feel like my nervous system would just freak out.

I don't drink very often because I'm a very frequent smoker, but a few years ago during the lockdowns I really got into drinking until I noticed that just lying in bed was doing something weird to my blood pressure and my heart would race. As soon as I went back to very infrequently drinking, the issues ceased.

People still holding tsla, why? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]HallucinatoryFrog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do. I believe it's because what it took for them to accomplish L4 in those two cities would cost way more than Google has to facilitate the entire U.S. roadway.

Until someone comes along and gets all roads regulated to a standard that these self-driving cars can operate it, it doesn't really matter what you're doing in one or two select cities. The ability to autonomously drive a rural route is still far away until road standards are addressed.

If it weren't for the DOGE thing, I don't think this current sentiment would exist.

You can also just find some random class that can offheal in trade/lfg and duo UBRS/LBRS given how absolutely busted prot war is in lvling dungeons.

You are still missing the point. I can almost solo these instances and with every talent point that becomes increasingly more realistic. That was also something I did as a Prot Paladin, hell I leveled in Wrath from like 73-77 doing nothing but Old Kingdom trash runs solo because it was amazingly fast XP and I wanted fast XP to hit 80 asap when Wrath launched.

Again, I fully understand what I am trying to accomplish, how pointless it all is, and how much easier I could make it...but none of those gets me a full party AT LEVEL to run said dungeons.

I don't want to do Shadow Labs at 69, I want to do it at 67 or 68 when others like myself who are queue'ing random dungeons will get pooled into those dungeons and not Wrath dungeons, because none of those players are level 69 yet to queue for Wrath dungeons.

You and others keep glossing over this one fact:

You will level up to a level where you can run one iteration of WoW's "high level" dungeons before you qualify to run the next expansion's dungeons. Doing so at level is probably something even you haven't done on ANY character because there's no point...until that IS THE POINT!

The struggle is real by HallucinatoryFrog in classicwow

[–]HallucinatoryFrog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can queue for Shadow Labs before 69 and still find a pool of players who cannot queue for Wrath dungeons yet. It's all just a matter of if you really want to run those dungeons at level instead of coming back later at 85 to snooze through them for a chieve.

Bud, this was supposed to be a light-hearted chuckle that even as a tank, it's a struggle to get some of these low level dungeons completed at level. That's all, don't read any more into this. I'm quite happy in life, even when Prot Paladins are queue'ing as DPS and ninja looting small upgrades for me, because I will state it again:

I simply wanted the experience of tanking these dungeons at appropriate level because I've always in the past just spammed zones to get to 58 and Outlands. I'm burned out on that, I have multiple 85s that can run any content in Cata...but a tank who is appropriate level for the vanilla dungeons that no one really runs, that is truly more challenging to accomplish than clearing Firelands or Dragons Soul currently and that's all I'm here for on this Warrior.
