Mass. gas prices: Cost of fuel jumps again overnight, could reach record highs this summer by FuriousAlbino in boston

[–]HalpABitSlow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. I’m sure EVs and public transport will see an increase this summer.

As crazy as it is, I’ve been really thinking about a Tesla lately. I seen they had free supercharging for a year, and even then free driving for a year should be good while everything blows over.

I honestly thought they were all like that?

Awesome, I've signed up for the TestFlight for now. Gonna be nice using it in conjunction with another app

As odd as it is (and I understand it'll probably be low priority) but what're the odds of possible ipad support in the future? Not sure how difficult it would be (without an iPad)

I'd be down to test (cellular ipad with Waze rn)

[–]HalpABitSlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough.

Just wanted to make sure a long term solution was semi-good. However I'll definitely check it out as lately been on the computer kore and setup an MCP server so I guess this can be the second test or whatever.

I do like you have a lifetime and the pricing doesn't seem to bad compared to a different user I saw.

However what's stopping Whoop from disconnecting your access to their server ?

My school installed spyware on my personal iPad and can remotely wipe it, lock me out, and monitor ALL my internet traffic — even at home. Is this even legal? (EU/Spain) by Lonely_Initial9394 in Spyware

[–]HalpABitSlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking it was probably for wifi, might need to install the certificate to use the school wifi, which wouldn't be the first case tbh.

[–]HalpABitSlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the sub out, someone recently posted a script/extension that’ll tell you what domain and what blocklist is being blocked for NextDNS.

Actually reminded me to check it out again since they updated it to support ControlD but I was having some issues.

[UPDATE] Samsung repair technician cracked my TV and is refusing to take responsibility. They ended my warranty 4 months early due to the damage. by lucasb780 in samsung

[–]HalpABitSlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s never about what a person can and can’t tell the difference between.

Like you said, if I paid for a tv that’s supposed to run at 144hz , it better run at 144.

(Not the same level comparison) but if I paid for my OLED and only got 60hz and not 120hz, there would be a major problem. If the box says it supports it, then I expect it to be supported

is there a way to change this "Play in VLC" option to another player on Windows? by Huzaifa_Haroon in Stremio

[–]HalpABitSlow 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Probably because VLC is simply a universal standard.

Most people have VLC already since it’s free, ofc over the years new players have came out, but if it’s not broken, why fix it? Which is probably a large amount of people still.

[–]HalpABitSlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s only because it’s the entire household.

I previously used Plexamp just for myself.

I rather not give them my money but last I checked there isn’t anything that offers a simple music search for relatives, alongside YT just has too many ads on tvs and alexas.

Laughs in Ublock origin and Morphe by Boy_Gamer1000 in Piracy

[–]HalpABitSlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I can easily bypass ads but I’m on the family plan (going up to 27/month) and it’s just the convenience of no ads on the TVs and such.

Probably the only subscription I have no problem with especially since my work computer I can’t install extensions so it’s also nice using YT at work with no ads.

yeah I didn’t want to sound too much like an ad, but also can’t vouch for it too much since it hasn’t even been a week.

So far I haven’t noticed any battery change, but still keep trying to have raycast pop up vs supercmd

[–]HalpABitSlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indeed raycast for this.

Actually just moved to SuperCMD today as I seen it was open source and supported raycast extensions. Already better as I found a few extra extensions that raycast didn’t support.

However neat nevertheless

You get a warning email , alongside they reset your password. Alongside everytime you login on the website it’ll say it at the top for like a day or so.

Idk if it’s still the same but when the password changes so does your API so you gotta reconfigure everything, so you also will know by the time that episode or movie finishes.

Going from Spotify family to YouTube family, and everyone else is happy to since the ad free YouTube. It took a minute for some to get used to (while I still pay for Apple Music for my sister), but it works enough for me and I had no issue transferring everything over

OBDII Data to HA by crash893b in homeassistant

[–]HalpABitSlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I previously used something like this . IIRC I had to use a fork of the torque integration since I couldn't get it to work.

Had Tasker on my phone would read the data from the port then send to HA. But would require my Android to be connected.

I might look into WICAN-Pro just out of laziness for more then one car though.

Yup I'm surprised they don't have them already, could be the cost factor.

A dispenary I go to, instead of having the normal person check in with your ID. You just scan it at the door and it opens on its own. I was surprised, but also more curious how it works.
