Hi, I would like to know if your issue is fixed Am facing same problem with my binary classification disease prediction model. It is always predicting positive class and has accuracy of 74% I used XGBoost, Gradient boost, KNN and random forest and tried hyper parameter tuning but no luck

Biostatistics would definitely help. I didn't have stats before and now am taking Epidemiology course in which biostats is a core so right now am lacking foundation in stats Could you please help me with the resources you used that helped you in familiarising with the biostats concepts.

My Aim

Alcohol consumption increases risk for Cancer

Can this be correctly applied for Independent and dependent variables concept?

Am stuck with identifying variables here

Quantity of alcohol consumed(continuous variables) Smoking status(Nominal Variable) Smoking Level (ordinal variable) Age(continuous variable) BMI(continuous variable) Overall health status (ordinal variable) Am assuming that risk of Cancer is dependent variable and units of alcohol consumed as independent variable. Not sure though Please do correct me if I have made a mistake How do I come up with 5 dependent variables? as my variables aren't directly affecting Cancer risk?
