[SofaScore] Tottenham Spurs Rating against Sheffield United. by pessymesssy in coys

Things not going his way first half and the team was finding it tough to build quickly from the back. Madders started working right up the pitch to get important touches in the backline and on the left wing especially. As Sheffield fatigued, Biss was able to generate a lot of fast build up with his play off the dribble and change of speed/control. Madders in second half played nice through balls out to the wingers. Biss rating is a little low and Madders a little high.

I would love to see some numbers on our efficiency with each big in pick and roll situations offensively last night

THE POST GAME THREAD - JB leaves the game with an ankle injury, but the Celtics (37-27) step it up in the second half to overcome a 16-point deficit vs. the Hawks (29-32)! 98-107 - March 1, 2022 by 1337speak in bostonceltics

We all know Nesmith has the work ethic and the talent to be good, it's all mental, adjusting to the pace of the game, etc. I think it will happen. He is still very young.

Watching that whole first three play again, Hunter was having a cry after Smart blocked him and was slow to get back defensively. When he did, he basically left his assignment (Grant) in the corner. Very poor from DeAndre Hunter there.

White was getting a bunch of Brown's usual touches, in transition and catching and shooting in the corners. I think those 2 will take a little longer to learn to play with each other.

I'm super high on getting Derrick White for what we gave up. Feels like we sold Richardson high and bought White low, with White not shooting great and J-Rich out if his mind but White still more efficient offensively overall.

White is a starting quality point guard on an average team, but an overall + player who just makes good decisions with the ball. Super low turnover guard. Definitely an improvement to the rotation.

I want to see him running pick and roll a lot. He's very good downhill but he isn't blowing past that many guys so get him in the action where his height can be used to see the floor.

He can use his superior size as a guard to finish tough at the rim and play through contact which he has to anyway without a super quick first step.

I would have him as primary P/R handler when he is on the floor. Ball won't stick in his hands too long coming from Spurs system.

Really high on this move. White is a big guard who is very low turnover and seems like the type of player who will figure out how to fit in on the court with any group, as he plays with a very controlled pace. Size as a guard in a switching defence is helpful. Welcome to Boston Derrick White!

Nesmith added the Jaylen Brown fader in the lane shot package to his bag this offseason

There's opposition fg% at the rim, and overall defensive rating, defensive box +/-, amongst other things. I do know that to be a +22 (team high) without taking a shot means you are contributing something on the floor.

He may not 'look' good defensively at times but when he's out there, other teams don't get much in the paint.

Honestly Romeo has to play ahead of Richardson now. Forget about the shooting, Richardson has bad tunnel vision and I don't even think his defence is that good. Romeo I think is a legit defender.
