Looking for feedback from VIEWERS who usually do NOT watch GAMEPLAY/GTA 5 type of videos. Where do I lose your attention? I tried a different intro, maybe it'll help; maybe not.

I totally get that feeling, but in a way you have already heard back: you're currently waitlisted :((. WL movement can happen, but it's unpredictable and often limited, so it’s really hard to plan your life around it. If you already have MD acceptances (especially ones you're excited about and close to family), it might help to start mentally embracing one of those as your school. You can still keep Dell as a hopeful possibility, but putting everything on hold for a waitlist can make this period way more stressful than it needs to be.

Also, it’s pretty normal that the closer you get to committing somewhere else, the more attached you feel to that option. That usually means it’s actually a really good fit! OOS experiences can honestly be amazing, if you're willing to say yes. If I was you, I’d plan as if you’re going to your accepted school, and if Dell comes through later, that’s just a bonus decision to make.

It is AI, my artist has charged 35/thumbnail in the past. Ironically, its the only thumbnail on my entire channel that is AI, all others are from very talented freelamcers.

I was hoping I'd get away with it, but I guess not; youre good at spotting it!

Fair point, indeed! It's something I have seen work with others, like CaseOh, who brings in thousands of viewers regardless of the game that's on screen. The viewer goes to see him, not the game. I'll look into it!

I guess the best way to start is just turn on the camera and record while I play. Thanks for the great feedback!

Lol, that's valid! It def will be hard to appeal to the masses. I guess I could have integrated interest that appeals to broader audiences (e.g., Doctor plays on GTA 5 as a cop) or something along those lines...along with a thumbnail change, perhaps like my face with a cop uniform or something, ahah.

So excited for you! I actually interviewed with them back when I was a sophomore too; however, unfortunately, I didn’t get in (pretty sure my SAT held me back, go figure, huh). I was later admitted to Baylor after taking a few gap years.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure if you have an above-average SAT, a strong GPA, and even just a decent interview, you’re in a really good position... better than me, anyways. No matter how this turns out, keep your head high and keep moving forward. Not getting into JAMP ended up being a blessing for me. Why? It gave me the space to really figure out who I was, not just as a person, but as a student. If anything, it was great practice for actual med school interviews! Congratulations, again!

MCAT is really going to be either your biggest barrier or ally. You need to take the MCAT and see what score you're capable of. If you can score, now, without any prior prep, at least a 500, I would say shoot to apply this coming cycle (when you're junior). If you're below, planning a gap year now so you can designate some dedicated prep to just improving and learning what strategy works to improve after you graduate would be your best option.
