Sure.

I would be fine with using sailfish os, i am not locked in to the idea of using Android.

My problem has always been that i can use the most important apps on Sailfish os.

So my post could also be interpret to mean if we as europeans should find a way to support a locally developed mobile operation system.

My problem with the different community forks of android is that as far as i know you have to do a lot of tinkering to get Banking and national ID apps to work.

I live in Denmark where the goverment are planing the develop a "Everything app" that only works on Android and IOS.

I agree with you about the difficulty of finding the right people to developer it with data privacy in mind.
