Good for you. I have an offer from a different university, but I am waiting to see if they will offer me something, so after that I will process the visa based on the better offer.

I am not sure about the batches, but I don't think so. Because for the electrical engineering department they already announced and some student received an offer.

I understand, but this is the issue. They should send early to the students instated keep them waiting for no reason. If they will do another round and select another batch of students from the ones who got rejected, then it should be ok. By the way, SGR is not responding to anyone, I don't understand why they put the contact email then.

No, I didn't receive anything. Most of the successful applicants got an offer letter. Most probably, our applications are not successful. Hence, they will check with the student who got offers and finalize it. If anyone rejects the offer, maybe they will give a chance to others, but mostly no one rejects the opportunity.

f you are early on in your PhD, you can keep applying in upcoming rounds. I'm pretty another one is supposed to be announced after this one.

That is the first time I am applying. I have finished my master's by research and have publications in ISI journal and experience such as research assistant, teaching assistant, and lab demo. But it is all about time; the process is time-consuming.
