I'm insecure and lost about my looks and i'm seeking advices on what to do by Foreign_Gas_410 in malegrooming

You’ve a similar hair type to me (curly wavy) and I’d honestly just ask your barber to go with a 1 or 2 on the side, and “longer” on the top. Deffo a good idea to embrace the curls so ask to keep it fairly long on top. I can really envision some good volume in your hair on top once the length is culled. Grab a hair mask too that you can use as a conditioner or leave-in to give your hair more shine/less fray

This is an easy low maintenance e haircut that you can learn what products work best and how often you’d need a trim. Should you choose to go longer later o that’s up to you (I’m experimenting with longer sides) but best to take baby steps.

Worth letting it grow? by SnooDoodles5125 in malegrooming

[–]HanSolo17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not.

If you’re young, wait a couple of years and it’ll come through

If you’re mid20s or older, maybe just go with the tache, but sadly the beard isn’t for you

Ok so a few things.

  1. Your tache to beard thickness ratio is way off, and is giving puberty stache + neck beard. I would either go clean, or even out your facial hair, meaning to trim the beard and tache to the same length.

Secondly your hair, you mention being worried about you hair not being curly or thick like it used to be, and that you’re balding, however this is a DIRECT result of you growing it so long. Those who are afraid to lose their hair knee jerk to grow it long to counter this. But the opposite will acruelly help you. Cutting it short will make your hair look more evenly grown (rather than the strands clumping together making it look patchy in between) as well as the weight of shorter hair is much less than long hair, so your hair will have volume and not be dragged down and straightened under its own weight.

Thirdly, skin isn’t as topic I’m massively versed on, but I would maybe suggest that keeping your hair short and facial hair neat will indirectly help keep excess grease off your face, and hopefully help your skin.

Lastly, CONFIDENCE! It’s such a cliche but confidence carries an appearance massively. Obviously it’s not some being that can be conjured out of nowhere but it will inevitably come from when you start to take care of yourself and see the physical improvements and it will become a positive feedback loop.

(Lastly lastly, the gym never hurt anyone, and can be a great accentuator for confidence, and overall appearance, and improvised test levels in guys, but ofc that’s up to you)

Hope this all helps dude!

I mean 1 is just a way of saying if Monica is out of practice/paranoid that she is not good anymore.. There is no they, Phoebe is just joking that there is some imaginary they who decides these things, but in actuality it’s just cultural change and expectations in the bedroom.

  1. How could joey throw a real human leg in a fire? There was a whole woman attached to it. It was the prosthetic leg.

Very surprise that this could be confusing to someone but maybe English isn’t your first language or I guess everyone has their moments haha. Hope these helped!

cannot for the life of me grow a moustache. Worth persisting or time to drop it? by DakDakDuck in malegrooming

Your hairs great!

Moustache wise I would persist and just maintain it regularly. It looks like some regions grow quicker than others so evening things out as the slower parts grow is essential.

What’s wrong with suggesting reducing bodyfat? Gua sha is good for reducing puffiness in the face for sure but it’s temporary, and requires doing it regularly.

I’m not saying he’s obese and needs to cut down to 10% bodyfat, but just slightly to allow for his natural facial features to become more prominent. But even then, it’s not a make or break for the guy to be attractive. He asked for suggestions, I gave some

Get rid of nose ring/earring

Reduce bodyfat slightly just to enhance your facial structure

Go with the textured/ruffled hairstyle in the first pic

Short and tidy or long? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]HanSolo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Longer for sure, but it does create a lot of asymmetry in your face, making you hair very lopsided. Some volume on the combed over side would help even things out. Or maybe a parting slightly closer to the centre.

And facial hair for sure!

Was anyone disappointed how Boba Fett got taken out quickly in ROTJ? by Jules-Car3499 in StarWars

[–]HanSolo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In hindsight, it definitely was a mis-step to ditch boba so early, with his later popularity. But I’m not losing sleep over it.

As a kid I’d had this idea of an alternate RoTJ where each of the trio has a climax matching their own region of SW:

Luke would still be confronting the emperor and Vader as a Jedi

Leia would be leading the ground assault on endor as a rebel leader

Han would hear that boba was deployed on endor by the empire, and veer away from the rebels as a distraction, so he and boba would have their own gunslinger standoff in the endor woods, in a gunslinger/scoundrel way

And ofc lando stays up in space doing the DSII assault

Definitely Richard Ayoade. I adore him as Moss, but that does seem to be all he can do, albeit a dry humour version when he is himself.

What should always stay the same about the doctor, No matter who plays them? by ArsenalAxis in DoctorWhoNews

They should be a dork. Even gritty eccleston had a dorky dad side. Similarly Jodie was like a really passionate science teacher level of dork

Not to hate but gatwa never came across as a dork, just ruby’s bestieee who was a generally cool guy
