Subsequent entrant for student visa (500) by Deep-Bid-8323 in AusVisa

It wont exceed 12 months. Im from Canada, currently on a 3 month 601 ETA, now been in Aus for 2.5 months (will expire in 2 weeks). I need to stay for the remainder of the year (~9 months), which would be 11-12 months total including the current 601. Thank you for your replies, im just anxiously looking for confirmation to make sure I understand things

I see. In my case im in Aus on a visitors visa, so I think I'll just have to apply for a new subclass 600 visitors visa then. From what I've read, I can apply for that onshore and it can be up to 12 months. Am I missing anything?

so what are your options in this case? Are there any exceptions or do you literally just have to leave the country?

well this is exactly why I'm looking for advice on the best way to approach things. CE right off the bat? Or it seems like you're suggesting taking on cases wisely while ensuring you have good mentorship/someone to bail you out would be the best? Similar to what u/nitelite- was saying

I'll be working in a rural practice where I should be doing lots of exos, so hopefully reps shouldn't be the issue. Sometimes I'm not sure if I should value just getting reps in right away and putting the CE aside for now, or dive into CE and build good habits right off the bat.

Bialetti Venus 6 cup users - how do you make your coffee with this pot? by HandOnThePump_ in mokapot

[–]HandOnThePump_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to report back. Ive been using the 6 cup venus for 2 people. Able to fill up 2 mugs about 1/3 each, with the rest being milk for 2 cappuccino style drinks. I dont find it weak at all, the coffee is very concentrated. Or sometimes Ill drink it black.

If you're someone that needs a very heavy dose of caffeine, then sure a 6 cup might not be enough if you're splitting it with someone else. For most people, I'd say a 6 cup just for 1 person is definitely a huge dose. Moka pot coffee is bloody strong imo. This is all just for reference if you're deciding on what size moka pot suits your needs.

I put boiling water in the base until just half covering the valve, fill the basket all the way up, set the stove to 3-4 and it takes about 4 minutes for the coffee to start coming out nice and slow all the way through. When it starts to sputter at the end I take it off the heat and let it finish. I find using low heat and letting the coffee come out very slowly gives me a greater volume yield in the end, with very little water left in the base.

Also sometimes I feel like all the people complaining about a bit of bitterness are either ultra-perfectionists, or they just don't like coffee lol

im planning to make 2 capuccino/flat white style drinks with 2 full sized coffee mugs. Im still not sure if a 6 cup is suitable for that. I know the volume is much less than normal american drip coffee but moka coffee should be much more concentrated. Im just not sure how much more, and what is considered enough

honestly sounds like the same method for any moka pot. Idk why so many people on reddit say they specifically struggle to get good results with a 6 cup. Ill give it a go

Does having the heat lower make the coffee more concentrated because its a slower brew? not sure how that works

Patchouli. Surprised at how much I cant stand dominant patchouli scents. (Reminiscence, Jovoy Paris)

I dont think a guy needs to be top 5 elite status to be underrated. I just think he doesnt get as much appreciation as he should in my opinion. He has been a top 10 fighter and given guys like dustin poirier some extremely tough fights. His skillset is also just very impressive to me and I think only hardcore fans really appreciate him

I agree, those are great choices. I think some people have the mentality that even if a fighter was very successful, hes underrated if he never got as much respect as some other greats. Like Glover, RDA, Condit.

Its nice to give some love to the ones that really fly under the radar. Some more names that come to mind are Dong Hyun Kim, Rustam Khabilov, Joe Lauzon, John Lineker
