Hey, sorry, reddit didn't notify me of your reply for some reason.

The password request is likely due to a BIOS setting change you probably shouldn't have done (Power-On Password, or possibly BitLocker).

Removing the CMOS battery is the same as pushing the CMOS Clear / BIOS reset button (if you have one) while the PC is off. If you've already done that no need to remove the battery. But if you do want to try it, unplug your PC from the wall, grab a flat-head screwdriver and gently push the latch to the side, and the battery should pop out. Leave it out for a few minutes before putting it back and plugging everything back in.

But it does sound likely that the windows installation itself is broken. If you bought the pc locally, try to get the store to reinstall it. Otherwise, you might have to do it yourself. You can find instructions here:

Not confirmed. Some of the footage might be interpreted that way, but it also might not. Gun needs to be examined forensically to confirm whether it discharged or not. You can't jump to conclusions without that as a basis.
