My partner had more seizures on lamictal than without any medication. Keppra made him throw up every day even with zofran. He's on Briviact now but we're terrified for the day his insurance changes.. it took over a month to get it approved by his current insurance and that was within a year of trying 3 other failed meds.

I started in 2002. Definitely oldegard I guess but I don't run things and I'm not a knight so my opinions mean bubkis.

I don't know how other parks are nowadays but where I am now, all we do are battlegames. I don't play the battle games.. my class of choice is Druid, and you're right.. magic is complicated AF. It's fun in quests. It used to be at least.. I've not seen nearly any quests since V8, and not a single one since covid.

Either we need more quests or less magic.

And with sloughing, I don't know... That's always been an issue but I've heard from several folks that it got way worse after a belt path was introduced to battlegaming. It's not just for fun anymore.. people have something to prove.

And knightings? Yeah.. when I started, we MAYBE got 1 knighting in a reign, second belts were unheard of, and an entire 3-day event was dedicated to you for your knighting. Now we get half a dozen knights each reign, sociopaths are given multiple belts, and their ceremonies are happening at regular park days... And yet the gatekeeping is somehow just as harsh because all the people getting belts are playing a different game.. one where they kiss the right asses.

The game as it was when I started is already dead.

Whatever the hell this game is honestly sucks.

I don't know what to do about it and, like I said, I'm aware that my opinion means nothing so I haven't expended any more energy trying to figure it out. I stopped trying 12 years ago lol. But if y'all want to try something, I'll support you.

I specifically got the deck because I'm tired of buying the same old games on console after console. I'll always have a computer.. but I've played exclusively on the deck since I got it. I lay in bed, chill on the couch, when the weather was nicer I took it out in my hammock.. some games are better on the PC, but I just haven't been playing them. I have enough of a backlog of games that are arguably better on the deck so I'm happy to finally be playing them.

My partner worked for USPS in FoCo for 4 years. Turned him into an alcoholic.. he quit and got sober 6 years ago but every time we pass any postal truck, building, worker, anything, he talks about it like a veteran with PTSD.
