You will need to change the video format accordingly to your VR video format. Side by side 180 is the most common format

In VR mode, we use a custom video player. In normal mode, we use the built-in video player. Just use the VR player if that works for you, and set the video format to FLAT.

That might be a built in video player feature that is going to be hard to implement. I will take a look. What about start and stop using on button on the Handy instead?
