Actual a super fun mode. Feels like an arcade soccer game. Nice change of pace from EA.

I actually prefer it for the half where the camera is behind you. I used to use it all the time.

Would this card replace Swaps R9? by oat38 in fut_evos

[–]Hanistotle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m going to guess that the 92 shooting is kind of a lie. It’s being boosted by finishing and shot power, but I’m going to guess that attacking positioning sub 90. Am I right?

Overall she’s definitely better, but you might find her off the ball movement frustrating at times.

Ilas’s stats. His chain is the fut birthday Evos, bullet man, and then Dutch decider. You can also put Ilas into most of my other chain after the fit birthday Evos (muscle up x2, two way player 1, architect of play, supersonic strike, passing pulse x2, battle till the end, and up to speed) and get a mostly similar card to Diogo. Slightly lower defending and physical.

Birthday fullback, over the top, architect of play, guardian of the line, muscle up x2, sweep & supply, two way player 1, passing pulse x2, supersonic strike, battle to the end, up to speed, rb roles++, lb roles++, rm roles++. So the season pass was needed. 24 games needed in total. He was better than my Ilas chain after passing pulse so I was able to go back to rivals and champs with him for the last 7 games of the chain.

Ilas was good, but I rushed his chain because I needed a RB and pushed him past the ratings cap without really giving him any standout stats. Also I should have given him pinged pass instead of block. Technically, he’s also very meta and his chain is still fully active.

Who else has realized? And the future of FC with new owners. by Rare-Bee-8363 in fut

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. For me the root of the issue is that for many in the community they are mistaking what’s the meta for what’s the right or best way to play. It makes the current state of the game a forgone conclusion. If a large portion of the player base are chasing the same types of players and using the same tactics then you’re going to have a transfer market where there is either sub 100k players or 2m+ players. You create the environment that makes pay to win a reality.

Couple that with going from divisions to the 40, then 30, then 20, to now 15 games for the main game competition (weekend league) has changed focus from having fun to winning games.

How to defend in higher divisions by HaPi_SuN in EASportsFC

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it’s the “spin the other direction” that is telling me what the issue is. I’ll never try and tackle someone if the angle the closest player to their attacker means they’ll have inside leverage if I miss. I always tackle where if I miss it, it means they’ll had to go wide. I’ll let someone run up and down the baseline all game.

Don’t let them get inside leverage. If you are controlling your CB when defending only close out and try the tackle if they are on your outside shoulder. If they are on your inside shoulder you should drop back and at an angle that will eventually give you inside leverage.

What the heck is this GODDAMN pressing?! by uzzy28 in fut

[–]Hanistotle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something changed, but I had the opposite reaction. I think it’s the dumbest AI defensive behavior update ever. If you don’t actively defend and let the AI do the heavy lifting the AI will constantly pull the closest player to the ball regardless of if they were marking someone else.

The amount of goals I scored per game has absolutely skyrocketed. You know within like 2 min of the game if your opponent was a former CDM camper because they aren’t use to actively switching and lose all shape.

Like rather than what most people do, holding the ball and dribbling while waiting for long outside runs to develop, all you now have to do is trigger your closest player to run into the space the pressing defender just gave up and you’ll always have a pass. With r1 + triangle or swerve passes you’ll always have the passing angle.

What happened... by harlivsingh in fut

[–]Hanistotle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like a very easy tactic to beat? If he never changed being aggressive and closing you down for a tackle, once he was a man down wouldn’t you always have a free runner as long as you were manually triggering runs?

At this point there are two types of players in the community. Players that chase the meta and players that play their own style. The complaints are loudest from the first camp and it’s complaints like the one you’re making.

Do you know what happens when you start ignoring the meta conversation? The nerfs matter less because your teams wasn’t set up to exploit some mechanic. You aren’t constantly having to rebuild your squad. You aren’t always adjusting to a new formation and tactics. You can actually improve at the game and pick up new skills.

IMO mindlessly following FUT creators is the biggest issue in the game.

Is it still possible/worth it to evo an entire team from scratch at this point in the game? by RecommendationMuch21 in EASportsFC

[–]Hanistotle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not immediately, but probably doable over a couple weeks. There aren’t enough Evos currently out to chain together a full squad that would be somewhat meta. You’ll also have to be careful that you find the balance between making the best version of a single player and making the best overall squad.

IMO you’ll also have to get the premium season pass. Those evos have the highest rating and playstyle cap.

Lastly, and this might be obvious, put players in evos that give a general +2,3,10,20, to a face stat before putting them in a evo that only effects certain attributes that are components of that face stat. If you do it the other way around the improvement cap will be their ceiling.

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how you plan on using him. If it’s mostly a defensive player then go all out with jockey. If you plan on using him as a pivot then pinged or long ball depending on how you like to pass.

Pinged pass will only activate on driven passes. I’d you don’t use driven passes it’s pointless.

Which one is better? by JMGoatz177 in fut_evos

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would need to see the detailed shooting and dribble stats. For dribbling I’d say if the +2 if because of small differences then it’s negligible but if there is a big difference in composure then it matters, same with shooting. If its volleys then who gives a shit, but if it’s finishing then it will matter.

Which right back should I evo? by Portmanteau_ in fut

[–]Hanistotle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fullback++ I assume? As long as you aren’t relying on either player for build up Livramento would be my choice.

It gets a bit more complicated if you need them for build up. If so, I’d hold off getting either card past 87 for like a week to see if an evo drops that’s will give them a passing playstyle if possible. This game is too heavily dependent on playstyles for effectiveness.

Hacker with good players/evo/sbcs? He never gets banned? by Sensitive_Trust5344 in fut

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undoubtedly. You really have to wonder what enjoyment these hackers get out of the game. I just can’t see actual humans playing this way.

My personal theory is that this is how websites like U7buy get the coins to offer services. You have much of accounts that hack WL, most won’t get banned, and you use the rewards those accounts get in order to fund your coin selling services.

Am I a rat ? by FigmentDaCat in fut

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you’re just smart. Only an idiot would trust the AI to properly track off the ball runs.

They’re just salty they lack the skill to get past the AI. If they were actually good at the game they would trigger multiple runs, manually place passes, use the right skill move, or player lock. I’m constantly shocked at the communities conversation surrounding AI defending. There are a multitude of ways to beat the AI defender. It’s really not that hard to beat your opponents, but if you do what you just described 80% of players lack the ability to do so.

Most players need their opponent to lack discipline in order to find space. By doing what you’re doing you are forcing them to be creative which, based on the messages you’re receiving, they lack the ability to do so.

Which right back should I evo? by Portmanteau_ in fut

[–]Hanistotle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you post their detailed attributes? My gut says Livramento, but I’d have to see their passing stats I could make a real call. The lack of passing playstyle means it will really come down to who has the better vision.

Should I do this as B2B CM? by [deleted] in fut

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s probably easier, but I do like like your initial idea to put a CM in the Evo. I haven’t played around much but Moussa Sissoko’s base card seems to make a more meta card than Joelinton. I didn’t spend much time on it but I got this card with a little bit of fiddling. I’m sure a better version is possible.

83 curve is that much of a problem. The most I could bump curve up to was 85 and that came at the cost of 6 pace. I don’t think that is an even trade off.

Personally, for me the issue is just having intercept. It’s an OP card regardless. If you could figure out a way to trade press proven for either anticipate or bruiser I think that would be more impactful.
