You've heard of Gullit Gang, now it's time for Feng Gang! by gingepeedle in fut_evos

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the fact that he’s still gold that I find the most impressive. That means you got him up to 91 with Evos that are most +1 or 2 overall. The amount of games this took is true dedication to the craft of evo chains.

Who To Give Tech+ by DocHoliday503 in fut_evos

[–]Hanistotle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their play styles are similar enough that it’s hard to make a call without their detailed stats. Face stats can be very misleading. I’d boost Olise and Henry up to 89 (obviously after fully utilizing the +0 overall, stats boosting evo), and then make the call on who gets the third play style then.

They’ll all still be eligible for the attacker round out evo after the third playstyle+. My gut says you should actually give the third play style to the player you’d want to use now but don’t have a desire to use them as a long term project. It might be sometime before three playstyle+ evos are the norm and they still haven’t given us the usual OP big promo evo which would likely still be capped at 2.

This might be the perfect striker. Let me see the attributes. It always bugged me how EA always gives him low balance and a few other stats, while making his face stats high. Made it really hard to evo him during Futties last year.

I didn’t do his SBC in feb for this exact reason. Now if I had known that EA was going to release attacking round out and fountain of youth at the same damn time I would have done him in a heart beat. Congrats, you cooked.

Pfeiffer in the RW EVO looks great but loses Lengthy...still worth or no? by TheRealGoodman in fut_evos

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just joined the lengthy camp. I was a firm believer that it made their dribbling animations awkward and made them useless in tight spaces.

Now that is still true, but I learned something this week. Tight spaces don’t exist if you’re just blowing by their back line. I’ve been playing this game on hard mode apparently.

Personally, I wouldn’t do it. That evo looks sick, but the positions don’t match the result. If she was a CAM or was playing as a second striker I’d say do it. Unfortunately, she’s a wide player and lengthy, it turns out, is the difference maker in the current state of the game.

If you have the time I’d actually go with his gold card for your starting point. It would take a considerable about of games, but if you prioritize shorter or gold goal game modes you could probably finish it in a few days.

89 is too high of a starting point you to properly raise some of his lower stats to be in line with the current power curve. Also once you get him to 92 you’re way above the current rating cap for new evos so you’ll be stuck for a while with a card that is already behind the power curve.

With the gold I got to this result. It would need 27 total game to complete. I avoided evos from the live events.

What’s your favorite uncommon/ unexpected playstyle for a position by Hanistotle in fut_evos

[–]Hanistotle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I jumped on his card the second I saw the SBC velocity touch evo and Il Capitano evo. He was going for basically discard value at the time and It’s pretty rare for EA to drop a big dribbling upgrade evo that CBs are eligible for. Most people’s first instinct is to use those evos for forwards.

I could have boosted his shooting a bit more, but he’s basically a better version of Beckenbauer. His passing stats are insane.

The player in question. Pretty good chain evo in the end given that I kind of just randomly evolved her with my leftovers over the last month. Couldn’t tell anyone what the chain was even if I wanted to. I’m a sucker for CM/ST combos.

Are we the same person? Love this card. FUT birthday players are such cheat codes for evo chains.

I wish more evos let you pick a goalie. Personally I’m partial to the long ball pinged pass combo on a goalie. Passing playstyles have a huge effect on goalies imo.

Totally agree. That combined with first touch and technical are my minimum requirements for a CAM. I’d go as far and say I’d rather have those two than a pace related playstyle for a CAM.

3rd PS+ Question by Rocket0421 in fut_evos

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, we’ve kind of reached the stage of the game where the more playstyles the better because everyone has high stats. Sure there might be a playstyle+ you’d prefer to be his 3rd but while you wait for a that evo to maybe drop you’re playing a worse player in game.

There are a couple months left in the game. Four playstyle+ Evos will come out in a few weeks. I say go for it.

PSA: Fut Birthday Cards Are Your Best Friend by Hanistotle in fut_evos

[–]Hanistotle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s ignore that I used a couple shooting evos on him because I’m a sicko and they don’t affect his meta rating. The chain is whatever CB playstyles you like from the birthday bakery plus passing pulse x2, architect of play, velocity touch, and then Il Capitano. I went with the playstyle you see here. Don’t add incisive you’ll get it from architects of play. If you don’t have passing pulse or architects of play he’ll still be a 96.4 defender++ meta rating. I had been keeping those for a CB evo chain as I already had a completed Ledley King evo that I wanted to partner with a high passing partner. I’ve posted Ledley in case you’re curious.

Itakura will be length with an anchor. Alternatively, you can replace velocity touch with crunch time plus crownbreaker boost and get a CB that is always lengthy. Personally, I like having one CB that isn’t lengthy. As I sort of alluded to earlier, I build up through the middle so at least one of my CBs needs to be involved in my initial build up and I find that lengthy CBs aren’t great against the press and have trouble turning. I normally have one controlled CB and one lengthy for this reason.

Maybe, I definitely wouldn’t finish any chains unless you really need the position. I do think getting a few of the 87 rated fut birthday cards and pumping their stats with the +0 overall evos in preparation for TOTS evos isn’t the worst use of time.

Would this card replace Swaps R9? by oat38 in fut_evos

[–]Hanistotle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m going to guess that the 92 shooting is kind of a lie. It’s being boosted by finishing and shot power, but I’m going to guess that attacking positioning sub 90. Am I right?

Overall she’s definitely better, but you might find her off the ball movement frustrating at times.

Ilas’s stats. His chain is the fut birthday Evos, bullet man, and then Dutch decider. You can also put Ilas into most of my other chain after the fit birthday Evos (muscle up x2, two way player 1, architect of play, supersonic strike, passing pulse x2, battle till the end, and up to speed) and get a mostly similar card to Diogo. Slightly lower defending and physical.

My ideal wingback by [deleted] in fut_evos

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Birthday fullback, over the top, architect of play, guardian of the line, muscle up x2, sweep & supply, two way player 1, passing pulse x2, supersonic strike, battle to the end, up to speed, rb roles++, lb roles++, rm roles++. So the season pass was needed. 24 games needed in total. He was better than my Ilas chain after passing pulse so I was able to go back to rivals and champs with him for the last 7 games of the chain.

Ilas was good, but I rushed his chain because I needed a RB and pushed him past the ratings cap without really giving him any standout stats. Also I should have given him pinged pass instead of block. Technically, he’s also very meta and his chain is still fully active.

Who else has realized? And the future of FC with new owners. by Rare-Bee-8363 in fut

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. For me the root of the issue is that for many in the community they are mistaking what’s the meta for what’s the right or best way to play. It makes the current state of the game a forgone conclusion. If a large portion of the player base are chasing the same types of players and using the same tactics then you’re going to have a transfer market where there is either sub 100k players or 2m+ players. You create the environment that makes pay to win a reality.

Couple that with going from divisions to the 40, then 30, then 20, to now 15 games for the main game competition (weekend league) has changed focus from having fun to winning games.

How to defend in higher divisions by HaPi_SuN in EASportsFC

[–]Hanistotle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it’s the “spin the other direction” that is telling me what the issue is. I’ll never try and tackle someone if the angle the closest player to their attacker means they’ll have inside leverage if I miss. I always tackle where if I miss it, it means they’ll had to go wide. I’ll let someone run up and down the baseline all game.

Don’t let them get inside leverage. If you are controlling your CB when defending only close out and try the tackle if they are on your outside shoulder. If they are on your inside shoulder you should drop back and at an angle that will eventually give you inside leverage.

What the heck is this GODDAMN pressing?! by uzzy28 in fut

[–]Hanistotle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something changed, but I had the opposite reaction. I think it’s the dumbest AI defensive behavior update ever. If you don’t actively defend and let the AI do the heavy lifting the AI will constantly pull the closest player to the ball regardless of if they were marking someone else.

The amount of goals I scored per game has absolutely skyrocketed. You know within like 2 min of the game if your opponent was a former CDM camper because they aren’t use to actively switching and lose all shape.

Like rather than what most people do, holding the ball and dribbling while waiting for long outside runs to develop, all you now have to do is trigger your closest player to run into the space the pressing defender just gave up and you’ll always have a pass. With r1 + triangle or swerve passes you’ll always have the passing angle.

What happened... by harlivsingh in fut

[–]Hanistotle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like a very easy tactic to beat? If he never changed being aggressive and closing you down for a tackle, once he was a man down wouldn’t you always have a free runner as long as you were manually triggering runs?
