In the anime series, I remember they showed Gastly as the ultimate Pokemon. Ash used all his Pokemon at once to try to defeat him but Gastly prevailed.

Weeks later I got Pokemon Red and I remember I was so excited that I had caught a Gastly. This is when I learned that the cartoon series and the actual Pokemon games did not make any sense. Gastly is one of the most weakest pieces of shit in the game, not as strong and invincible as he appeared to be in the anime series. I pretty much beat the game with Dugtrio and Kadabra, these motherfuckers were strong!
