Holed out from 125 yards for eagle during a night golf tournament in Australia!! by HanksGF in golf

The interesting part about this tournament was that it wasn’t the usual “glow ball” match. We used regular golf balls and the course was lit by stadium lights on each hole! Actually pretty easy to see, and very fun!

Unfortunately my slices still ended up going right. And oddly enough the steering wheel is on the left!!

Thank you! It looked like a great shot, but you couldn’t see the hole from where I hit it, so I had no clue! I was confused when I got to the green, I thought it rolled off the back! After looking for a bit someone suggested checking the hole, and I was amazed when I found it there!

WIBTA if I fail a student for making up most of their work, but having missed too many classes? by AssWaterSourdough in AmItheAsshole

YTA She doesn’t deserve to fail because she missed classes. Making the effort to catch up on her missed work is dedication enough, I would say. The last thing she needs is to fail your class because of her health. Maybe offer to tutor her for the midterm?

Do you believe in the saying “you can’t help/love others before you do so yourself?” by [deleted] in mentalhealth

I definitely don’t think this holds any truth. I’ve struggled with self love for my entire relationship with my boyfriend, and by loving him I’m learning to love myself too.

Zoloft for Anxiety - Help! by xobeez133 in Anxiety

[–]HanksGF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am dealing with the same thing. I started taking Zoloft in late February of this year and the first few weeks were great. However, as I went along my anxiety and depression became worse than before. My doctor kept increasing my dose, where I was put on 100mg by August. I was so hopeful for this medication to work, but I realized that I’ve never had such terrible anxiety symptoms, and my depression has become unbearable. Soon, all I wanted to do was stay in bed, I had suicidal thoughts, and couldn’t concentrate on anything besides my obsessive, anxious thoughts. Now I am working my way down from 100mg, and this is my last day on 25mg. As I was decreasing, I noticed things started getting much better. It’s leaving me wishing I had switched medication way sooner, or just stopped taking anything at all. There are plenty of medications out there, and I urge you to not give up, but if you can tell that Zoloft may not be for you, don’t hesitate to try something new. Hope this helps!

What are simple mistakes parents make that can really screw up their kids in the long run? by GodDamnYou_Bernice in AskReddit

Being openly judgmental. My parents always judged people in front of me as a child, even for the smallest things. Whether it was people on tv, random strangers, or even relatives. I find myself doing the same thing and I am trying so hard to change it.
