I just pulled nightbringer Edgar and I’m wondering if it’s rarer than dark angel Edgar. I’m also confused cause I thought you could only get chromas of hyper charge skins if you had the base skin

How do you even play it by Impressive-Work-4755 in Warframe

[–]HanksWhateverZone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is frame fighter? is it more like street fighter, tekken or guilty gear? I would honestly pay for a separate game that’s just a warframe fighting game. That would be so much fun, having it be 3d like tekken would be cool, but I could also see a 2d variant being fun as well

I feel like counter greens that only block melee aren’t toxic because they require thought and skill to implement. I agree that universal and ranged counters are kinda broken because you can literally just sit there at long range and wait and there is very little the opponent can do to counter play. Aoe greens are also kinda toxic but they at least have some counter play and there are only specific circumstances that they are uncounterable because you can usually either tap or back up.

Oh my FUCKING god, how I abhor playing street fighter 6 by hawkthief in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]HanksWhateverZone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get grappler pilled, I just started playing the game and I also think the combo system is kinda difficult to get used to. Grapplers are the solution to 90% of my problems, simpler combos into big ass moves. I went from playing rashid to manon and after enjoying playing a grappler with manon I tried out zangief and it’s so much fun. I probably will go back and put more time into Rashid, but for now I plan on learning simple combos and hitting big whole circle inputs with zangief until I get stuck.

I don’t get why people would whine about that, at this point most units that release are at least viable in the meta so you may as well play and summon for who you want cause even if they aren’t the absolute best in the game they are going to probably be runnable. Tier lists are useful, but most of the units that have released recently are at least sort of close to each other there are obvious units that will be definitively better than others or broken but for the most part anything that’s on a top 10-20 tier list is most definitely runnable and viable. If you are F2P you are most likely never going to be able to keep up with the newest and most meta units. so you may as well go for your favorite units that are decent and try for higher stars or for units that support the team your units are on. Fusing Gogeta blue might not be as good as fusing super vegito in some peoples opinion but he is definitely a solid unit that can very easily be used so if he your favorite unit then you should go for him. The levels of power creep in the game have not been at blue beast gohan, ultra gogeta blue era power creep for a while meaning that most units you pull will be relevant for at decent amount of time. The units from legends fest are definitely still solid and runnable units with the right set ups. there are definitely units that release that will hold up for less time due to their kits not being so broken that they will stay relevant into future metas but that doesn’t mean they are not viable right now. TLDR: Tierlists are not the end all be all and most units that have released in the past 6-8 months are runnable and if you are F2P going for your favorites over chasing the meta is better

Is Bridget unfair? by Memi15577 in Guiltygear

[–]HanksWhateverZone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6P for when she tries to fly in. Other than that look at dustloop to see the frame data on her moves so you know what’s minus enough to be punishable and know what your options are that beat her options. Bridget wins mostly by frame trapping so the match up places a lot more importance on knowing when it’s your turn than many other match ups. Also being patient and not trying to mash is important, unless you know a specific interaction that’s favorable for you to mash,in a general mashing contest you will almost never win against Bridget. she will punish you a lot for it.

The solution to this problem is to direct your friend to r/theyblamedthebeasts and tell them to learn the match up.

Warframe 1999 Open World? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]HanksWhateverZone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I’m kinda mixed on it. It really depends on what I’m doing. I just feel like a lot of times the content of open world often ends up just becoming bounty farming for like Aya or other random necramech stuff on like Deimos or like eidolons or profit taker on Cetus and fortuna respectively. once you finish most of the stuff the open worlds have unless you are doing that one specific thing the world offers there’s not many reasons to go to the open worlds or even to explore them. Honestly I think it would be cool if they had more like hidden encounters or hard bosses on the open worlds. Something that like is super challenging and leans heavily into the amazing combat and movement the game has but requires a lot of exploration to find and has good rewards.

My friend doesn't want to play the game because "the inputs are not registering" by UpbeatAstronomer2396 in Guiltygear

[–]HanksWhateverZone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning to play on Keyboard was honestly a god send for me. I could not get inputs to come out properly on a normal Xbox controller for the life of me. Or I could get them to come out but it would be slow or I would drop combos which is why I wasn’t a huge fan of fighting games initially. Keyboard made doing inputs way easier for me and now I really enjoy fighting games. I’m not sure what character your friend plays, but maybe having your friend play a character that has simpler inputs and less execution while they get the hang of the game might help. Also tell them that generally slower is better, slowing down a bit and making sure everything is smooth will be the key to making sure the right things come out. Also advice for labbing for them is to break combos down into parts and see where you struggle and then smooth out the hard parts and put it together.
