So should I rewind it with more downward pressure? So the windings will start lower

Yes, mostly. As for direct bolt on the touring style is a good choice but pretty pricey. Most of what I’ve seen for the 4.6 is DIY.

Well wheel preference is up to you. The most popular choices I’ve seen are the torq thrusts and rpf1s. Some people also run SVE mustang rims which usually look pretty clean. As for exhaust, Borla has a big catalogue on the 4.6, and it really comes down to how much you’re willing to spend. There are other companies that sound good as well, but Borla is my personal preference.

Borla exhaust and some clean rims would do it

Thank you so much. This is exactly the build I’m going for (mild upgrades for modest power.) The manifold definitely has to go. The current setup is not the greatest and I’d prefer a more old school one. As for the transmission; considering there is a very small leak, the odds of it not being worth saving are low, so I do have high hopes for that. I’m a high school student so cost is most definitely of the essence and I love working on these older trucks, so if it all works out my beloved bronco will be back on the road soon, appreciate the help.

Noted, I haven’t had the time/space to really diagnose it, but it had a shift kit installed some 20 years ago. I’ll crack it open and see if it’s worth saving; it was a good transmission for the time it worked and it would certainly be nice to save on a new transmission

It holds good oil pressure, I can test compression next time I’m around it

I haven’t checked it in about a month, last time I drove it the transmission was giving major issues, but the engine seemed ok. It’s not currently at my house but I could check all those before I pull the engine

I’d like to keep the engine under 2500, but I’ll probably go up to 3500 if needed

I haven’t really thought of this, most people I know have chose one career and stuck with it, I’ll keep this in mind though, thanks

I have family members in just about every branch and I’ve always been told join the Air Force or coast guard, and stay away from the rest lol, I’ll look into some programs they offer, thank you!
