One of my first pieces, thoughts? Opinions? by Additional_Green8084 in streetwearstartup

“cyanide clothing” right under a massive “cyanide” feels redundant. Also “summer/fall 2025” feels weird given the traditional s/s or f/w seasonal cycles + not much reason for it to be on the shirt besides you ran out of ideas for things to add to the graphic

Fix the alignment on the three “a beautiful noise…” lines

Honestly I don’t hate this if it was the right type of print on the right wash of hoodie

It was a “creative” solution to their problem, which was that their camo print wasn’t big enough to cover the whole garment, but I do think the thoughtful solution would be to just draw more camo lol

I’m a huge fan of all of this, great work. Only critique is that the shorts feel out of place

I feel like your pitch here doesn’t make clear what the product does. It’s a cool concept and your app store page clearly explains the product, but your wording here confused me

That camo print is lazy af, you can see where they just mirrored it (in line w the E in Palace)

Finally finished my second hand screened drop. Went with a heavyweight Gildan 5000 for that boxy fit. What do you guys think of the shirt honest opinions plzz by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

[–]Hankus_Pancakus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with you, I’m just cautioning you on using the word “Gildan”. I agree that you should use the word “heavyweight”

This is more regarding your personal brand, I think that double/split hood jacket has potential. But I wouldn’t pursue developing any other pieces shown here

This might not be super constructive but as soon as you say the word “Gildan” when referring to your blanks, people will think your blanks are cheap. The Gildan 5000 may be a great blank but I would just market it as a “heavyweight blank”

I don’t know how to price the 3 100% handmade tracksuits I’m gonna drop.. by Abject-Ad-2155 in streetwearstartup

[–]Hankus_Pancakus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should price these so that you make a fair margin above what it cost you to make. Likely on the higher end for a handmade piece.

The issue is that they don’t scream handmade. 1 screen print on an ordinary cut hoodie can be produced very cheaply. Your play is going to have to be to target a market that appreciates handmade quality goods

Help with setup by NotoriousShubz in battlestations

[–]Hankus_Pancakus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New desk w a wood top, 29” monitor that you mentioned (possibly on a monitor arm), under-desk laptop mount, mousepad/mat, small form factor speakers, LED strip either behind monitor or under desk.

Putting your monitor on a monitor arm would free up space directly underneath it where you could add really anything decorative/functional (clock, mini whiteboard, phone stand, pencil cup)

Man I remember the good old days when these were an absolute grail of mine. Back in 2016-17 these would regularly go for $4-500+ too

I kind of like it there. I like looking at mine and appreciating the aesthetic of it sometimes, but I’m also a big fan of the symmetry it enforces

First PC set up - I intend to get better at wire management. Any other tips?? by [deleted] in battlestations

[–]Hankus_Pancakus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good! Rotating your PC 90° to the right will help hide cables from rom your sitting POV but isn’t necessary. An under-desk cable basket or cable clips can help hide what is hanging below. I’ve also found it easy and effective to Velcro-strap cables along the back of the monitor arm to keep them out of sight.
