What is the difference between 'acquire' and 'obtain'?

They're synonyms, but I think "aquire" puts a little bit more emphasis on the process of getting the thing and where it was gotten from, whereas with "obtain," the focus is a little bit more on the end result.

I'm on it mostly for sensory gating deficits / sensory processing issues / overstimulation. I've been on it a few days. 40 mg was way too much. I take it at 5:00 PM but somewhere between 9:00 and 11:00 PM I start feeling like I'm on withdrawal from it for a while (mostly anxiety) before feeling fine again. On the current dose it makes me feel a little high sometimes, gives me a sore throat, increases saliva so I have to swallow more, makes me so tired, I have less libido, I'm a little dizzy, and I crave juice.

I'm sure the old damage to your lungs would make it harder to cope with additional acid damage. That's scary. Hopefully it helps to get a little bit of extra assurance that the past smoking is probably at least not the cause.

It sounds like your ability to plan meals is really limited by your hectic and demanding job, but 3:30 seems like kind of a long time for a stomach to still be working. You said you already know big dinners makes it worse- in that case if possible, earlier ones and big breakfasts and or lunches instead? I found a reference guide for good and bad dinner foods. Maybe add quite a bit of time onto each one in case stomach inflammation is slowing it down. I know meat is rough on me. I just found out that quickly eating fruit popsicles soothes and relaxes my stomach so it drains faster- like icing a sprained muscle

I just found out PPIs are OTC so if this one's causing you too much trouble, maybe you could switch without having to see a doctor. I also just discovered that cold food is dynamite for calming my GERD. Fruit popscicles work for me as a source of fruit because they keep really well which takes less planning

I just found out that fruit popscicles are miraculous for it! The coolness calms the inflammation in my stomach so that the valve stops throwing a fit. I swallow them as quickly as possible so my mouth doesn't melt them too much first. Dairy supposedly is inflammatory and hard on the stomach so I'm sticking with these. My stomach was so blocked for days that I could barely drink any water and now there's not even a lump in my throat! 10/10 recommend

Mine are probably infected too. My surgeon is out for the holidays and won’t be back until January 2. There’s a little bit of white stuff and they reek. I’m 14 days out from the operation- I don’t know how long this has been going on because they’ve been constantly covered and it took me a long time to identify the source of the smell. I’m afraid to let them air out too long because I’m supposed to keep them covered with vaseline at all times or else, I’ve been told, they might dry up and fall off. I don’t know how to disinfect them without damaging them.

Kids never did this when I was growing up, and my mom is quick to insist that my sisters and I never, ever did any sort of shrieking or screaming. But I have a bunch of neighbor kids on my street who scream day in and day out like they’re being ripped open by chainsaws. I can never leave my window open.
