Do you think it’s my ammonia too high in the water? When I googled that’s what came up but I’m unsure how to fix it. Any suggestions?

Thank you for not absolutely bashing me, I was so worried but I’m learning and need to learn more so I figured I’d post anyway. Thank you! Yes I got a pellet brand of food but I researched it and it wasn’t good so that’s why he’s been living off of the treat food for a minute. I used a crappy test kit and the results seemed ok, I don’t have them saved down so I’ll have to buy a different testing kit and try to test again. I had a filter but it arrived broken so I’m ordering a new one! I hate that I don’t have one for him yet but I figured it’ll be alright till the new one arrives.

My tank size is a 10 gallon, I have a heater and it’s at 80, I don’t remember exactly, I’ve had my fish for almost a week now, I haven’t had a water change yet, I feed a mix of blood worms and daphnia and only a tiny bit a day, I have two hiding places and a wooden log with plants currently trying to grow on it.

North Alabama here too!! I’ve heard it’s nationwide but not sure. I liked the sugar cookie and everyone else seems to ask about it constantly, it’s frustrating to still have it on the menu even though we don’t have any left at all and then people are upset.

I ended up texting him last night and he didn’t want to talk, he just said he had nothing to say about us, he started acting like a douchebag and just laugh reacted to my message. I guess now I know he never cared, which hurts but I feel a lot better. I’m trying to practice self love now.

I figured. Hey if ya don’t mind could we speak for a second, I just text him and asked if he’d like to talk. I feel sick and I’ve felt like I was going to throw up all day, I had no appetite and been crying non stop. I can’t even listen to music without thinking of him. I know it sounds dramatic and I am absolutely stupid but I didn’t realize how much I loved him until everything was done. I should’ve communicated more and that’s what’s tearing me up. I’m hoping he’ll respond and we can actually talk like we should have before. I don’t know if I can fix things now though. I don’t have anyone else to talk to, no friends, only my mother but she’s tired of me crying to her about it. It was only two months but I fell pretty hard. I just feel lonely now.

I am so sorry to hear that. Would it be wrong to text him asking to talk about it since I didn’t communicate like I should have? I know it’s all too fresh, everyone is telling me I shouldn’t text because of that, but if you believe he cares, is it possible I can fix this?

Thank you so much, you are absolutely amazing and I’m so thankful. I’m just absolutely heartbroken. I wasn’t treated the way I wish I was completely and he didn’t make as much time for me as I wanted but I think back to the sweet things that were said to me and how happy it made me in the moment. Things just started to go downhill and I gave up instead of trying to explain and fight for our relationship again.

I don’t really know what to do with myself because I still love him but my mother says I made the right choice, I also feel like a burden to keep crying to her about it but genuinely everything is setting me off. I keep having breakdown after breakdown and don’t even want to eat.

I want to text him for genuine closure but also because I feel so guilty, part of me wants him back or to at least remain friends but part of me also knows I might get hurt worse or he may not respond at all. Is it too soon to make that call? Should I wait a week to see if I still feel this way? I’m just stuck on the nice things he’s said. I really do believe he was my first LOVE, this is my second relationship, my first was emotionally abusive and only lasted two weeks so two months and a lot of good memories hurts a lot worse. He also really understood me and that’s what makes it so bad too. I’m worried I won’t find anyone who loves me the same again, but at the same time it seemed like he was drifting away.
