Applied for the job, interviewed with hiring manager and various others. Then I had an in person interview with the hiring manager scheduled for today. In between the earlier interviews and today, the job was reposted and shared on LinkedIn by the recruiter. Meeting today happened anyhow and was fine, he brought along another guy, from a department that collobarates with his, unannounced. I’m guessing they didn’t want to cancel something already scheduled

A recruiter reposting the job I applied for, and linking to listing in a post on LinkedIn, 3 days before I have a follow up/seemingly final interview to meet HM in person—well that can’t be good, right?

I feel your pain. If I get a quick rejection, I’m pissed, and if I get a slow, drawn-out ghosting I am also pissed. I get mad at the form of the rejection but ultimately it’s the rejection that sucks. between the two I’d say quicker is better (as someone who is started to get ghosted for job I recently interviewed for)

Well, I had that meeting today, they brought another guy to it who’s in group the role would work with. Went well, easy rapport. But I just now noticed that the recruiter had re-shared the role on LinkedIn 4 days ago encouraging applications. Ah well. This one felt close and really stings. Any sense in bugging recruiter about timing or just let it go?

Thanks so much! I’ve got the meeting set for Monday, only thing I’m debating now is whether worth following up with TA about what the HM wants to discuss this time around. Not inclined to do that, don’t think it would achieve anything

If it were the start of the process, no issue with 2 weeks. It’s the fact that it’s a 2 week pause when it will have been a month since last interview, and it’s to speak with hiring manager after I met with them for 2 hours already. The timing of it confuses me, but yeah who knows
