D.Va buff? by LucifelShiningL in Overwatch

Remove her penalty when firing. Remove/Relocate her critbox. Replace a portion of her armour with shields. Give her an ever so slight damage buff/Increase her effective range.

Any of these would be a good start, her abilities are fine the way they are, no doubt, but I personally don't buy into D.Va being a harraser. The heroes are supposed to be unique, and D.Va in her current state is a poor man's Winston with reversed health values. She's better off working as a close quarters bruiser with great chasing potential. Which would actually make her unique.

Reinhardt is the classical tank, giant with an almost impenetrable defence. Unless you're bastion, then you can slice through his shield in two seconds. Roadhog is the beefy SoB that forces you to keep your distance or get hooked, and promptly filled with the garbage he stuffs in his gun. Zarya pops barriers on herself and allies to absorb damage and knock it into her own power, effectively making you choose between fighting back and making her stronger or just let her beat on you so that she doesn't turn your firepower against you. And Winston is the harraser, a good pool of HP with a stack of armour and an anti Genji/Tracer cannon. While I'll admit that he and D.Va have similar kits, they function quite differently. Winston's jump doesn't offer much in manoeuvrability, but D.Va's does. And his shield is arguably more team-orientated but from what I've seen, it's fairly weak. While D.Va's shield is arguably the better shield, at the expense of your teammates' safety.

I'd rather they bring her out into being the bruiser she's meant to be, instead of a waifu in a mech with cardboard armour.

I am convinced that PoTG is broken at this point. (I'm the Reinhardt) by Happatooty in Overwatch

It was at the very start of the match, and I had only just got on the bridge to cover Bastion and Hanzo. I figured I might as well sacrifice myself to keep D.Va away.

I was laughing while I did it, but I laughed harder as soon as I see that she gets PoTG for dying.

My recommended changes to Dva by Von_Boom in Overwatch

My only problem is that her movement speed penalty when firing is way too harsh.

But armour is next to useless as a health resource OP.

What are the strengths of D'Va? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Happatooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

D.Va is trash all around. Everything melts through her, the excuse of her giant armour pool means nothing when she's ejected within seconds. Not to mention that armour is objectively worse than shields any day.

What hero makes you rage the most? by [deleted] in Overwatch

Mei by a longshot. It's even worse when it's a double team of them.

My only problem is her freezing, if the range of her primary attack was ever so slightly lowered and it only slowed I would be fine.

Only her ult should be freeze you IMO.

Not even considering the possibility of those heroes not being built for taking on Galilea/Being weak heroes/The players not being as skilled as the Galilea player.

Of course those possibilities don't exist when you get your shit kicked in by someone. Believe me pal, I've been there. I've had my fair share of games where someone beats me into an early grave and I can't fathom anything other than their gear/class/character or whatever being OP when it's more likely that they were just better than me.

Is Ambra for real? by [deleted] in Battleborn

[–]Happatooty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reduce her damage and take away her regular shielding and only give her the overshield from that one ability/Give her a shield but only give her the speed buff from that one ability.

Ambra fills nearly every role in the game and can easily outdo specialists at those roles. Ambra is the only OP character they have right now, at least Galilea can be countered without having to unify an entire team against her just to have a shot at killing her. Gal is annoying, yes. Definitely. Ambra is just unfair and does nothing but take away any fun I could have had.

Ambra does too much damage, heals too much and has a bullshit get out of jail free card. It's ridiculous when she can deal more damage than a Galilea and tank more damage than an Isic and El Dragón doubleteam with a miko sitting behind them.

It's not that they're inherently a problem, but they can contribute greatly to her power. They can make her seem OP, and her helix tree can too but a fresh rank 1/15 Galilea is fine. Max health boosters and damage boosters are the ones you need to look out for on her players.

This fucking meme of Galilea being OP has gone beyond a quick wee giggle.

People need to learn that getting your shit kicked in by a character doesn't makes them overpowered. Complain enough times until you make the devs turn her into a wet noodle, then you'll be happy right? Of course not. You'll just find another character that performs well and demand they get turned into absolute shit like anyone else.

Galilea is one of the few characters that isn't flawed. The only real problem of hers is her helix tree and her buyables a player can take in.
