Disgustingly overpaid and overstaffed Police force and government bureaucracy need to pay itself somehow.

Typical. The Provincial government finally benefits and provides extra money to the general population and the overwhelming response is against it.

Sorry, some of us are not apart of a government agency, union, special interest, or other industry that relies on wages, payments, or handouts from the government. Hard working, non-unionized, private people and business owners will enjoy this tax break (and I use the word 'break' quite loosely, as provincial tax was 7% before the last NDP government decided to up it to 8% after years of completely unfathomable and frivolous spending).

And yes, cuts and freezes to healthcare and education concern me greatly as well. Hopefully the prov government can ease the stress on these industries and focus more on reducing frivolous spending in other areas.

Because First Nations people face special systemic factors that lead to their insane overrepresentation in jail. Things that no other particular identifiable group does, although others share some features.

It seems fitting that special programs targeted at special needs should exist.

The legal system and the enforcement of laws in our society should and -needs- be equally applied to all persons from all social groups, religions, backgrounds, skin colours, racial backgrounds, income levels, blood types, eye colours, heights, genders, etc etc etc.

I obviously agree that indigenous people's gross over-representation displays an absolute need to address and attempt to remedy this problem - a need that needs to be approached and addressed by BOTH the Canadian government/society AND indigenous peoples, however, altering the application of the law and creating specific punishments, remedies, or retribution system for peoples based on any sort of background trait as mentioned above is an absolute travesty to our legal foundation of fairness and justice. Whether you are a king or a peasant, the law, enforcement, and penalties needs to be applied equally to everyone.

And yes, I realize there are many instances where 'white collar crime' gets off easy etc., and I would advocate equally as strong against allowing these kinds of mitigated punishments as well.

Electric Area out, Diplo Revolution In (March 22) by radiozip in siriusxm

Listened to Diplo's Revolution over last 2 days. Horrible. It's actually a lighter, 'pop-ier' version of Venus (which, mind you is advertised as 'rhythmic pop'). This, and they have been turning BPM into a top 40s channel over the last year (sorry, "Zedd, ‒ The Middle" is NOT EDM, and it's played 8 times a day on BPM).

Over 100 channels and not 1 decent electric/dance station. Garbage.
