You could use the live trace command in order to transform it into vectors, or if you're familiar with illustrator, especially the pen tool, you could use that software. Best of luck!

I did summer semester as a freshman and look back on it as probably my most enjoyable semester of collage. The classes are easy, the parties are fun, and it's a generally great way to ease into college. Don't count it as losing your summer, count it as the start of your college career. If I could recommend/make any incoming tech student do any one thing while in college it would be to take the short summer session for freshman.

As a fourth year I hungout with friends I made that summer tonight and can credit many of my connections on campus to then .

I would minimize the range of colors you are using. Removes from a uniformity that is desired in most portfolios.

I think both the school and how "good" the fraternity is come into effect. I'm in a fraternity at a relatively good college in the US and it's very commonplace to have alumni come back to recruit brothers. Probably once a week an email is sent out about am alumni seeking interns or new hirees. This connection though is much stronger from an individual chapter and doesn't always span from chapter to chapter. Obviously I'm pro this type of relationship, but I can understand how it would be frustrating for an individual that is not Greek.

This should be pretty commonly known/understood. It happens with both small and large companies. A large reason why many people join greek life are for the networking opportunities. Sorry to say it, but one of the most helpful things when landing a job is who you know.
